Going on Thursday for first time and getting confused about hours! It seems as if there are magic hours at more than 1 park on the same date, I thought it was just one per day, eg 10 April, MK in morning and AK in the evening. Am I reading this correctly? Also, I'm getting a bit 'punch drunk' and on the grid for the opening times for example the MK days when its morning extra hours (such as 10th APril) it still show opening time as 8am whihc is the same as the other days.
Everyone keeps asking if we are excited to be going and the children are saying yes and I'm just groaning and saying that I feel that we're not prepared yet and my head is spinning!

Hi Sugarcup - I've taken a look and there are more than one set of EMH on each day, probably due to the Easter holidays making it busier than usual. The times that are published are the normal guest hours - you'll need to arrive an hour earlier for the EMH.

Personally I always skip the EMH days as they're crazy busy and unless you can actually get to the park gates before they start it's just not worth it. 7am is a mighty early time to be at the park gates!

By the way it's perfectly normal to feel this crazy just before a trip - I've lost track of the number of times we've been and I still have a crazy week in the run up and a panic that I don't know what we're doing. Sad truth is I can now tour the parks in my sleep lol

They don't do it 100% of the time but a lot of the time they do if they have the visitors to support it.

They'll have 4 morning EMH and 4 evening EMH per week - 8 EMH, 7 days, so to avoid a parks EMH day constantly rotating to a different day every week they'll double up a morning and evening one on the same day. If that makes sense!

It doesn't neccessarily mean the parks will be crazy busy (this happened when I was there last October when it was fairly quiet) just that there are enough people staying on site to justify it.

They always have largely extended hours the week before, over the weekend and the week after Easter. I would go so far as to say this period has the most extensive hours of any time of the year. MK last year (and I seem to recall prior years as well) had morning EMH every day for 2 weeks, and there were a couple of weekend where they had 2 lots of evening EMH in the same week. You won't find more than one park having evening EMH on the same evening but with the MK morning hours you will generally have 2 parks (inc MK) with morning extra hours on the same day.

They tend to only add the extra hours of operation just prior to the Easter season and the sudden amendment is what makes people do a double take on the info.

You are going at a great time - the worst of the crowds will have died down. Enjoy it!

thank you again, I saw friends this afternoon and feel such a 'grouch' when they say 'are you excited?', I must try and change my attitude!
