For those interested and/or going to WDW in early March, looks like park hours were extended for all parks during that week with the exception of Epcot. AK now 8-8, MK 9-11 most night and HS 8:00-9:30, more pixie dust forthcoming!

with park hours being longer now for spring break, at what time do you think the lines will actually be lower? I was counting on doing park closing with my kiddos, but worried now that if we dont make it til 11pm at MK, that we wont really get much benefit of short lines? not sure.

Usually clears out pretty well after fireworks. We went same week last year and going this same week this year. After fireworks we got quite a few rides in. Granted we have small kids so didn’t go for 7dmt or space mountain, but crowds are definitely lighter as it gets later.

I see some extended hours the last weekend in Feb also. AK is now 8-8 on the 26th, and HS open til 9:30. (I know those hours changed because that day I'm visiting both parks) I'll be offsite so hoping the hour earlier open at AK might make it easier for me to get an ILL for FOP

I have seen MK PACKED at 2am. I've also seen all the parks very empty in the early evening.

To some extent, it often depends on the weather.

the parks clear out when it rains. If say, there's a burst of rain from 7 to 7:30pm, but you stay later, you'll see a benefit.

We're also talking March. Cool = people clear out. Delightful warm night = people tend to stay out later. Except -HOT day=people often get drowsy after they eat and leave the park.

If you can happily manage the PM hours, then the PM hours are often fun. There's a kind of energy to them.

On the other hand, there's also a time to call it a night. As soon as someone in your group is too tired to enjoy continuing, it is time to go.

There's no foolproof way to know what will happen until it happens.

Also, this is not new or unusual. Disney World adjusts park hours like this all the time.

They post placeholder park hours, then adjust them a few weeks out. They have been doing this for many years. In my experience, the adjustments are (almost always) additional park hours.

I am certain April hours will also be longer than originally posted, especially Easter week.
