Park hours are released daily now?

Just noticed that the park hours are released one day at a time now. Is this the norm or is it new? I saw the 11/22/22 hours released yesterday (9/12/22), and the 11/23 hours released today (9/13). (The weird part is MDE app is showing hours one day behind.) Anyway, I wish they release them in bulk like they used to...

I noticed that back when I was looking for hours for our April and May trips.

Park hours also can change anytime. I usually see the change about 2-3 weeks out, but, there have been times they were changed the day before.

So keep an eye on them, right up until you get there.

Theme park hours are posted through Nov. 24 (Thanksgiving Day) as of this morning. But water park hours are only posted through Oct. 29. Is that usual? Is it that Typhoon Lagoon usually shuts down for maintenance around that time and Blizzard Beach has not yet reopened since the Covid closure? Will there be a Disney water park open during the holidays?

For a while now Disney has been posting park hours 71 days in advance which is on track for what you are seeing.

Yes, it is normal that water park hours are posted later than the other parks. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a set number of days in advance that they publish water park hours.

Also, the dates the water parks close for refurbishment vary greatly so there isn't a way to really predict when BB will re-open or when TL will close for refurbishment.

I'm assuming that the release of park hours lines up with when you are allowed to make park reservations?

Nope... because you can make park reservation way into 2023 and the hours for the parks are not released yet for that timeframe.

It appears (and this is only my guess) that they release park hours about 11 days earlier than guests are eligible to book things like dining reservations, BBB, droid builds, etc. Gives people time to plan.

Park reservations can be booked as soon as you have park tickets.

Was thinking about this the other day, but what happens to ADR availability when park hours change to be longer (i.e. closing of 9pm becomes 10pm)? Does those extra ADR slots (between 9pm-10pm) post immediately or are ADR slots not predicated on park hours?

When park hours are lengthened, additional ADR availability is opened but it doesn't happen immediately and often happens in waves. If there is an ADR you were unable to get and the hours of the park you're at are lengthened, start watching for releases of additional ADRs. The Disney Restaurants forum has discussions about this.

Got it, that's what I figured but wasn't sure on the process / timeline. Also, and I'm sure it's rare, but can the inverse also be true? A late ADR that was scheduled prior to a park's hours being shortened so it now falls outside the park operating hours?

I have not heard of them not honouring ADRs that were offered. I have heard of ADRs being available after official park hours. e.g. Park closes at 9PM and ADRs available at 9:15. Not sure how often it happens but I know it does. I have never heard of them cancelling ADRs if park hours are shortened but again, these questions are better for the Disney Restaurants board as people responding to questions there have a better grasp of Disney dining.

Thanks, was just more of a curiosity rather than anything affecting my planning. With two kids in tow, I doubt we'll ever really consider any ADRs that would be affected by changing park hours anyway.

I read this last week and stored it away for when park hours should be released for "my days". Today I was looking at park hours since I am getting closer to "71 days" out and it doesn't look like hours are posted that far in advance anymore. Today 9/28 I only can see hours through 11/27. Which is 60 days.
The Disney site is acting strange for me, so maybe it is just a technical error or are others seeing the same and has something changed with how they are releasing park hours?

Interesting - I didn't realize they were releasing hours that way now. So much has changed since I last went!

How do you see 71 days in advance? I see people posting about New Years Eve hours online, but I can't see that far myself, in the app or Disney's website...

The app has hours out to Dec 31st as of this morning. People were talking yesterday about New Year’s Eve hours because 30th is the same as the 31st.

Thanks for posting the information available on the app.
I have been looking at the Disney World website and currently that only goes out 60 days to December 26th.
However, the MDE app is showing hours through January 5th, so 10 more days than the website.
