Park hopping

Can anyone tell me how to park hop when staying outside the park (Embassy Grand Beach Resort).

i.e.
option 1: Do I park at MK and take disney transportation to all other locations ?
option 2: Do I have to physically drive from location to location ?

I would prefer option 1 I think. Is this allowed/possible ?
Can anyone give me the pros and cons of these 2 options ?

also, how much $$$ to park a day

You can do either - use Disney tranportation between parks or drive yourself. It's up to you. If you drive, be sure to keep your parking receipt so you only have to pay once per day.

Parking is 9.00 each day. You only pay this once each day, so you can hop from park to park in your own car. I guess it depends on which parks your visiting. If hopping between MK & Epcot, I'd go to TTC and park and use monorail. Otherwise I'd drive to each park.

Once you pay to park you can park hop and not pay again or use disney transportation. The few times we have done this we have tried to park at the last park and then park hop to our other destinations. Since we usually end our day at Epcot we would park at Epcot and then take bus/monorial to the am park, head back to Epcot an leave.

MY BIL otoh is a DVC member, stays onsite and still drives to each and every park so both options are good ones. We prefer to let disney drive especially if DH wants to have a "beverage" at Epcot in the evening.

Thanks to everyone for your help. I was afraid to get rooked for parking each time I drove to a different park. and at the same time I was afraid to get turned away when trying to board Disney transportation because I'm not a "Resort Guest". None to worry though. You have some great suggestions and experience.
