Park Hopping with Cast Member Main Entrance Guest Passes changes?

Hi, I'm looking for some clarification regarding Park Hopping at WDW with CM Guest Passes before planning a trip this week. My grandfather is a retiree (in his 70s, 20+ years) and doesn't use computers, etc. so he doesn't have access to The Hub or anything to get updates on policies. Generally he gets word of changes from friends who still work at the parks, despite me trying to get him to call and ask. Stubborness I guess.

He is now under the impression that he must be with us at each gate to enter with the guest passes as they now need the Main Entrance Pass every time. Which is incredibly problematic at his age. Has this changed since the previous incarnation? He use to get us in and would stay for a few hours before heading home, and we could hop the rest of the day unattended as we are immediate family (and over 14).

Clarification on this would be helpful. Thanks!

The hopping for immediate family members still applies.

You do need to check and make sure he has the new, recently issued Guest Passes. For security reasons, all CMs were issued new entrance passes and Guest Passes.
