Hi everyone. I’m be park hopping next week starting at AK and going to HS in the afternoon.

First time using Genie+ and I have a few questions about stacking LL for the second park (HS).

I prefer to use examples to ask

Question 1:

*07:00 - Genie+ Slinky Dog Dash (4pm-5pm)
07:30 - AK open
07:30 - Arrive at AK
08:30 – HS opens

Will I be able to book next LL at 09:30 (2 hours after AK opens) or only at 10:30 (2 hours after HS opens)??

Question 2:

*07:00 - Genie+ Slinky Dog Dash (4pm-5pm)
07:30 - AK open
07:30 - Arrive at AK
08:30 – HS opens
*10:30 – Genie+ Tower of Terror (6pm–7pm) - Considering that the answer for the question 1 is 10:30
*12:30 – Genie+ Star Tours (8pm – 9pm)
2pm – Arrive at HS with 3 LL stacked
*2:30pm – Genie+ Toy Story Mania (3pm – 4pm)
3pm – go to Toy Story Mania

Will I be able to book another one right after use it at the Toy Story Mania as it was my last choice or I’ll need to wait 2 hours?

Thanks everyone for the help

Question 1 - 2 hours after your primary park opens. If you go to AK first and it opens at 7:30, you should be able to make another at 9:30.

Question 2 - You can only book another LL upon tapping into an attraction if you have no other pending LLs that day. So if you get a TOT for 6PM, you're pretty much stuck to the 2-hour rule all day. And just FYI - it seems extremely unlikely you can get a TSM LL for 3PM just 30 minutes before heading over. TSM seems to be pretty popular and you'll be fortunate to see any availability earlier in the afternoon unless you 'stack' it earlier. Of course, that might have just been an example for your question!!

Good luck and enjoy!

Even if i'm booking for the second park that opens later? It gives me an advantage over the guest that only will go to HS, am I correct?

It was just an example

Yes. We experimented a bit on 2 trips earlier this year. The one morning, our first park, EPCOT, opened at 8:30. We grabbed a LL at EP in the morning. Then we were hopping to MK later, a park which opened at 9AM. At 10:30, we could start stacking for MK.

The only difference I see between what we saw and what you want to do is that you're not actually making any LL reservations at your first park, but I don't think that matters. I think the open time of the park you have 'reserved' starts the clock.

i'm confused ....

on the situation below
*07:00 - Genie+ Slinky Dog Dash (4pm-5pm)
07:30 - AK open
07:30 - Arrive at AK
08:30 – HS opens
*10:30 – Genie+ Tower of Terror (6pm–7pm) - Considering that the answer for the question 1 is 10:30
*12:30 – Genie+ Star Tours (8pm – 9pm)
2pm – Arrive at HS with 3 LL stacked
*2:30pm – Genie+ Toy Story Mania (3pm – 4pm)
3pm – go to Toy Story Mania

the answer was ""You can only book another LL upon tapping into an attraction if you have no other pending LLs that day. So if you get a TOT for 6PM, you're pretty much stuck to the 2-hour rule all day ""

But according to me , a new selection can be made at 3 pm . Isn't the rule that you can make a new selection once you used your last selection ( or 2 hour rule ) ?

Question 2 - You can only book another LL upon tapping into an attraction if you have no other pending LLs that day.
The quoted answer is incorrect. If the Toy Story Mania G+ LL is the last LL that was scheduled, then yes, you CAN book another LL as soon as you tap into BOTH tapstyles at TSM.

Question 1 - it’s 2 hours after whatever park you made your 1st Genie+ reservation for opens. So in your example you made a genie + reservation for HS. So your next one is 2 hours after HS opens.

Question 2 - you will be able to make another genie + reservation after Toy Story because it was your last one booked. Also, you might consider switching Star Tours and Toy Story mania. I don’t think you’ll be able to get one for an hour later at 2:30.

Have people found that it pays to get a mid-morning at the first park before stacking. So say go for a 12:00 Safari at 7am and then start stacking at 9:30? I guess you lose out on the “big attraction” for when you are hopping.

Also the 2 hour rule is based on official park entry and not early entry, correct?

Thanks all for the answers.

Just adding another quetsion to this topic:

Question 3

07:30 - AK open
08:30 – HS opens

*07:30 - Buy ILL$ Avatar FoP for the morning

What time will I be able to buy the ILL$ for the SW Rise of the Resistance?
07:30 because my first park of the day (AK) is already open or just 8:30 when HS opens?

The hours and the rides was just to use as examples :)

If onsite you can book both ILL at 7am. If offsite you would have to wait until the park you want ILL in opens. In this case, if offsite you can try for Rise at 8:30.

We are doing AK and then HS also. I am going to try to get my first LL before 8 am at AK go on that attraction and then start booking for HS. I might not be able to get SDD but it will put me ahead of everyone else stacking at HS that night because I can book at 8am, 10am, noon, etc instead of 1030, 1230, etc.

Both of these answers are incorrect.

Question 1, it’s based on your first booking. So so if your first booking is at HS, it’s based on that even if that’s not your primary park.

Question 2: it’s always based on the most recent attraction you’ve booked, nothing else. So if at 7am you book a ToT at 6pm, you have to wait until 2 hrs after park open. Then at 10:30, you book TSMM at 12.

You are now eligible to book again once you scan into TSMM. The ToT booking is now irrelevant as far as your scheduling.
