Park Hopping Lightning Lane Change

Hello,

WDW made a change to booking Lightning lanes when park hopping late last week. Does anyone know if Disneyland made the same change? From what I read, at WDW you can no longer book a Lightning Lane with Genie+ in your second park until the return times start to pop up for after the park hopping hours begin. Apparently in the past, you could book them earlier and would just automatically get a 2pm (at WDW) return time. I think at Disneyland you can get 1pm return times earlier than they would normally be available.

This wasn't my experience. We were there August 10 and 11. I was able to book a LL in the other park first thing in the morning and it gave me 1 pm as the time.

You barely missed it, it started on the 12th in DL.

We are here now, and this is true. It will only allow me to book for Disneyland. Such a bummer. Makes park hopping much more difficult.

Wow. I know folks really liked being able to do this on both coasts, but at the same time I think it could help level out the LL's.. but there will now probably be a quick drop in the times around park hopping time.

I was just chatting on Reddit with someone who is there and they confirmed that they were able to book once the return time was after 1, even without entering the other park. They did away with the automatic default to 1 even if booked earlier.

Here now. Scanned to DCA at 1130ish. Bought G+, immediately booked splash at 3-4 to test it out and not a problem.

I think that was the regular time being offered for Splash though. If the Splash return time was 12-1, it wouldn’t have let you book Splash. Under the old system, it would have just given you 1-2 by default.

It did…. I watched guardians and grabbed as LL as soon as the return time was 1pm…. Maybe about 11:30? We were able to also LL GRR and Soarin before 5pm, which we could never do before because by 1 the return times were pushed well into the evening.
