Hi Everyone,

I need some advice on how to make this day the least painful for my poor Mother who has some knee problems.

We are staying at AKL and haven't stayed there in about 4 years and we love F&W, but unlike the ease of popping back and forth between HS and Epcot when we stay at the Boardwalk or Beach Club, I could use some help streamlining the walking and trying to hit both those parks in one day.

We do lots of sit down meals because the breaks are much needed with lots of kids and my 75 year old Mom. So I have the day planned as follows:

Bus from Kidani to HS
Breakfast at Hollywood & Vine around 8am
Walk on Startours
Beauty and the Beast show
Fastpasses for one of the newer rides
Lunch at the Brown Derby (I LOVE the crab pocket here and can't live without it even though I know we'll be stuffed at this point)
and then head to the ferry to Epcot

By the time we get to the Int'l Gateway - someone will be hungry again and we'll have 70 snack credits to spend so I was going to make our way through food and wine and maybe skip a sit down dinner, head through England and Canada as we'll have done the longer way a few days prior and then see if we can get on a ride in Future World before we leave.

I assume then head to the bus and that would be fastest. I would even call her a Minnie Cab if that would be shorter to make it home, does anyone know if you can call a Minnie cab to pick you up from Epcot?

Any advice or guidance here or even input like ---- geez, that's a long trek for a 75 year old would be appreciated. Everyone, including my Mom want to go back once more this trip to F&W and with the new rides at HS I figure I would double up.

Thanks for any input you have!

The bus to Kidani is the second-closest bus stop at Epcot. It’s going to be closer than the pick up point for a Minnie van.

Thanks, that's great to know! Every bit counts. Also, I guess we could always consider renting her a scooter for this trip. She uses the stroller as support while we're walking but I guess a scooter would be an option as well!

Hi, we are perrenial beach club stayers so know a thing or two about Epcot studios park hopping.

Your proposed itinerary is OK except if your goal is to do a premium ride at each park you it is unattainable.

Disney now has a local lyft/Uber . We would take that to studios and do rope drop at studios to ride our favorite ride and then use fastpass for soarin or equivalent in afternoon plus others and then disney lyft Home.

This way you consolidate time and get a tier 1 ride at each lark

I would concern renting her a wheelchair. It is only $12. You can purchase it at HS and get a slip to use at Epcot the same day. Sh

We have done Soarin and Test Track lots of time so if we can't get on those, it won't be the end of the world. I'm going back to HS to get on one of the new rides if we didn't get on in the beginning of the week. I'm not sure how it will work with the Tier system there, I have to research that on another page, but I'm thinking if I do all my fast passes in the AM, I MIGHT... and I really that is IFFY....might get some ride at Epcot for the late afternoon, but I'm not going to bank on it. Even if we only get on Mission Space, I think everyone would be happy

Thank you for thinking of that though because it is a bummer that we can't split our fast passes when park hopping!

Thank you for the advice, I didn't realize how cheap and convenient it was. I'll look into it further.
