DH, DS (7), and DD (5) and I will be going to WDW from 11/6- 11/13 and will be staying at Fort Wilderness. We will be using 4 day park hopper passes and taking 2 days off to relax and enjoy Fort Wilderness and other non park stuff.

In consideration of the lower crowds and shorter hours, does it make sense to park hop or would we do better to just enjoy one park for a full day?

I am looking forward to the November hours and event schedule to better lay out our plans in consideration of the evening events. Quick question. Do the "big shows" Fantasmic, Wishes etc. start at the park closing time on the calendar or do then end at the closing time?

We are going in Nov also. We are doing some 1/2 and 1/2. Some days we are park hoping and some we are not. Most of that is due to the fact that we will not be staying in MGM the whole day and probably not AK the whole day.
MK we will probably stay the whole day since we are not going there on an EE day and same goes for EPCOT.

We do a lot of park hopping, even when the crowds are low. When it's not very crowded, we get done with everything we want to do significantly faster. Sometimes we stay longer and enjoy details we normally rush by, other times we just hop on the Monorail and do something else.

This is especially at night. We park hop a lot in the evenings to catch the shows we like. It seems to give us more energy. It's a LONG day staying in MK from opening until the Spectromagic parade & fireworks, but we get a second wind if we head over to Epcot and go to Illuminations instead.

Also, Illuminations always starts at 9 (park closing) & I think Wishes generally does the same.
