Can someone explain to me how the park hopper actually works?? We are going in Jan. and while we've been before, this will be the first time we've gotten the park hopper.

We got the hopper for each day we'll be there, not the number of nights we'll be at the resort. I just want to make sure if we use it on check in day, that we'll still have it on check out day. We'll be at the resort 9 nights, but we have 10 day hoppers.

Thanks.........

Yes, you did this right. 9 nights equal out to 10 days.

You'll love being able to hop from one park to another. Have a great trip! :flower:

Thanks ~ that's what I wanted to make sure of!!! I know ~ I'm so excited to be able to "hop"!!!! We wanted to be able to visit all of the parks.... and this way we can without worrying......... it makes it so much nicer if ds wants to go somewhere else!!!!

I can envision that we'll be over at epcot, and he wants to go back to MK......... we can, without using another day's ticket!!!! Yeah!!!

You wouldn't have been able to use another day's ticket anyway -- one day, one ticket. Without a hopper that means one day, one ticket, one park.

Royal Canadian... Are you sure? I will admit I have only gone on a hopper in the past, but from everything that I have read if you did not have a hopper pass but choose to go to 2 parks in one day it would cost you two 1 day tickets.

What I meant was that if we went to lets say epcot......... without the hopper, and my son wanted to then go MK, I'd have to buy another ticket.

I realize that if I buy a one day ticket it means one day, one park. I'm saying that I've purchased a 10 day ticket, if I had NOT gotten the hopper and wanted to do 2 parks in one day, it would be 2 seperate tickets, leaving me with only 8.......... does that make sense? Since I do have the hopper on my tickets, I can go to each park multiple times a day, right??? and not be worried that I'm using up more than 1 day worth of my tickets.

Am I making any sense???? LOL :confused3

I'm not sure where you read that because it doesn't work that way. If you have been in one park and try to enter another without a park hopper ticket, you won't be able to get in. Otherwise, people wouldn't buy the hoppers becaue it would be cheaper just to buy a ticket with more days. Disney already has that figured out. :)

This is from allearsnet.com frequently asked questions:

Am I allowed to use two days off of my MYW Base ticket (non-hopping) if I decide I want to go to a second park on the same day as the first?

No you are not. The tickets are sold and the computer system is based on the number of days you have, not the number of park visits. Once you have used a non-park hopping ticket at any park, the computer system will not let you use it at another park on the same day.

If you had a 10 day ticket without park hopping you could not enter a 2nd park on the same day and use 2 days worth of tickets. The tickets don't work that way. But, you have the park hoppers which sounds perfect for you. Good luck.

OH, OK, I was just assuming that it could be done that way. It is not an issue in my case, since I did buy the hoppers............. but I just thought that since if you buy a one day ticket, and wanted to go to another park that same day, you'd have to buy another 1 day ticket, therefore if you had multiple day tickets, they could be used the same way.....

Thanks for the clarification.
