Park Hopper vs. no Park Hopper?

We always get it for our 14 day trips, main reason is at the start of the trip and the end of the trip we hop around a quite a bit, kids can't wait 4 days to ride a certain ride and at the end, we usually hit all 4 parks our last 2 days.. plus this year with the cutbacks of F!, didn't want to spend all day at HS on a day that park will be crowded.

We hopped our first trip and didn't feel like it was necessary. We didn't bother our second trip and have decided it's really not for us. Maybe when the kids are older, we'll try it again.

We go at rope drop and stay about 3hours and then go back to the resort for a break. We have lunch and a rest....maybe swim, and then head back to the same park. It helps to keep things simple for me and the kids. We plan character meals and other ADRs according to our park for the day. If a park is closing early, I just figure that into our plans and make it a resort evening.

I'm planning on adding it later if we need to. We went in Sept & got the parkhopper, and didn't use it once! So I am planning on not getting it, knowing I can add it later. With young kids, I don't like extra traveling, so we probably won't use it until they are older. We are staying at BCV and the only reason I would consider it is to eat at Epcot, but all ADRs are done so unlikely at this point.

We never hop. We plan one park per day and we usually stay in that park all day long. If we do need to leave we can leave and come back, but if you plan on stayin at DW for a week and plan on visiting all parks, then you can plan your days and meals around what park you are going to that particular day. We are a family of 4 so thats extra $$$ we can spend on something else.
