Myself, DH and kids are going to Disney at the end of August. My whole extended family is going next March for a family vacation. What would be better for us to buy? The Park hopper for this August or buy the Annual Pass since we are going next March. We're only going to do MGM and maybe Epcot this August.

Thank You!

That would depend on how many days you intend to visit the parks during the course of your 2 visits.

If you're going to go into the parks on at least 8 separate days, then the AP is a better deal. Anything fewer than 8 park days and you're better off purchasing PHPs.

Don't buy the AP with the anticipation of room discounts. They don't always happen. There is a current AP code that runs from 7/5 thru 8/28. If you're staying onsite, you might want to see if you could apply the code to your ressie. You wouldn't need the AP in your hands to make the ressie but you could save between $30 to $85 off of the rack rate, depending on where you're staying.

It depends on how many days total you plan on visiting the parks. If it's 7 or under for the two visits, the 7 day PHP would be your better option. Besides being cheaper than an AP, it gives you 4 plus options that you can use at the water parks, PI or WWoS that an AP doesn't have. But if you're going to be in the parks 8 or more days total, you might want to consider the AP.

It really comes down to what you are going to want to do on the two trips.

There is also the Fun In the Sun pass that his geared for international folks but you can go through Paramount to buy them. Adult is $311 and child is $251. plus you get a character meal per pass and Kennedy space center pass. It is much like PAP for 30 days. I am leaning toward the FITS or the PAP. I just need to make sure that we will go back before the PAP expires to justify it.

The FITS is a great deal and it is cheaper than a 7 day PHP!

But it won't cover the OP's August and March trips since FITS is only valid for 30 days. It's a great ticket but not for the purposes of the OP.
