Park hopper upgrade to Premium Annual Pass

Hello, all! My first post!

Just a few questions. Will the full price of the park hopper pass be credited toward a Premium Annual Pass? i.e. if I use a three day park hopper and on the third day decide to upgrade to an annual pass, will the full value be credited or only the unused part (does that make sense)? Will the annual pass be valid on the date of purchase, or the first day of use from the park hopper? Is the premium annual pass good for one calendar year (i.e. from November 25, 2005 to November 25, 2006)?

I know these are basic questions, but for the life of me, I can't find the answers! LOL!

We just did this so maybe I can help you! Yes the full price of your hopper goes towards the AP. The date of the AP will be good from one year of the day you first used the hopper. For instance, we used our hopper beginning on September 8, 2005 and I am looking at my AP now and it says valid thru: 09/08/06. We did the actual upgrade on the 9th if I remember correctly but the AP expires on the 8th. I would do it pretty quickly into the trip because you save money at many restaurants inside the park which can really add up. Outside the main gates to Disneyland and California Adventure are ticket booths. They can upgrade your hopper for you there. Then you go inside Disneyland and right there on Main Street is the "bank" where they will actually take your picture and issue your AP.

One note: On the back of your park hopper is a thing where you can redeem a $10 ESPN Zone card. You need to do that before you upgrade to the AP or you will lose that freebie. You don't have to use it right away but if that is something you are interested in you do need to claim that before you upgrade.
