I think I know my answer, but asking for help from all of you experts ;)
Our trip is Tues-Tues. We plan to do parks on Wed, Thurs, Sun and Mon. 4 Day Park Hopper is perfect for most of us...but my husband is taking a day to hang out with a friend so a 3 Day is all he needs BUT, it will not be eligible on our last park day as it will be past the 5 day window. Any tips?? Or are we stuck buying him a 4 day? Also I have looked at rearranging our park days but what I have set works the best.

First are you purchasing a Package with tickets? In that case, everyone needs to purchase the exact same tickets. All package options must be the same for everyone in your package.

No, We have a room only reservation. I always do my tickets third party. We usually do a split stay with Disney and then to a beach house but this year we're doing a full week at Disney and taking a beach day and then a non park day.

Buy him a two day ticket and a one day ticket.

Then I am in agreement with @Marthasor on comparing your options for your husband's ticket options: 4 day PH vs a 2 day + a 1 day (with and without the PH option.

Dave
I did price a 1 Day single Park ticket (planning a lazy resort morning and only HS the first day) and a 2 day PH. It was less than a 4 day PH. Now to just nail down our exact plans to see if that works. :) Thanks for your input!!
