Park Hopper question

We bought the 3 day park hopper passes.. actually I can't remember if we just got the 3 days or 5 for 3.

Anyway, our flight gets in at 2:00. I've been told that heading over to the park in the evening is a good idea. Does that use up a full day's pass though? Can we go in for the morning, out for the afternoon and then back in the evening?

You can go to either park on each day. You can go to Disneyland in the morning and then head back for a rest at your hotel in the late morning and then at 1:00 go over to California Adventure for a couple hours and then go over to Disneyland all in one day and it will count as one days use on your park hopper ticket.
If you arrive from the airport and check in to your hotel and get into one of the parks at 4:30 and it closes at 7:00 that also counts as one day.
