Park Hopper Question

My daughter is going to Disneyland with her best friend in a couple of weeks. Her friend accidentally bought a 1-park a day ticket instead of a park hopper ticket. Is there any way to pay the $60 difference and switch it to a park hopper? Thanks!

You used to be able to call Disney to upgrade to a hopper, but with the reservation system now IIRC you have to do any upgrades at the ticket booths. I'd try to call however and stress that the friend made a mistake and your daughter already has a hopper. Ask for a lead if the CM says it can't be done by phone.

Have they made their park reservations yet? That's another thing to stress when you call and a reason to call ASAP. There could be the possibility that by the time they get to the Parks the 'hopping' reservations may be gone.

I needed to change my one day ticket into a two day ticket a few weeks ago. I called, and bottom line, as long as the new ticket was more expensive than the old, I could do it over the phone. Basically the CM checked to see if there were reservations for the second date I needed. He held those for me while I cancelled my old ticket. He then issued a new ticket and the refund for the old ticket. It wasn't a quick process, but it was nice being able to take care of it from home.
