Park Hopper pluses

I am looking for information on how they work. Looking to go to Disney from a Sunday through a Saturday. But wont be arriving until 3:30 in the afternoon. The PArks close at 7 this night so going to the parks will be a waste. Now if I get a park Hopper Plus can I use it on Sunday to go to Pleasure Island or will that be using a day? Should I get the extra day?

The plusses are for minor parks, so, if you use it Sunday for PI, it will use one day of the plusses, not a day.
