If we are going to the 4 parks over 4 days and then a separate 5th day we are going to blizzard beach, we only need. 4 day park hopper plus is that correct? I’m understanding you don’t have to do it all in 4 days? Or should we be buying a 5 day park hopper plus? Any help is greatly appreciated thanks so much!

If you buy a 4 day hopper you can only get into the 4 major parks for 4 calendar days. You would have to compare the price for the plus ticket to see if it’s worth it. I believe water parks are about $55 per person.

You are correct. With a 4-day plus ticket you have 4 entries into the plus options and they do not need to be on the same 4 days you're doing the parks. At least that's the way it worked before date based tickets. You might want to check the ticket sticky to be sure that's how it still works.

As PP said, you don't have to get the plus ticket. If you're not planning on hopping, then a 4-day base ticket and a 1-day water park ticket will probably be cheaper than the 4-day plus ticket.

Correct.
Plus options can be used on same days as Theme Parks, or on different days, or a combination of both ways.

In this specific case (that of a 4-Day PH PLUS ticket.)

A standard 4-Day Ticket can be used on any 4 days within a 7 day period, beginning on the start date of the ticket.
(It becomes an 8 day period with PH PLUS option.)

You only need the park hopper option if you are planning to go to more than one park on the same day. If you are planning to stay in the same park all day, no need to pay for the park hopper option.

Curremtly adding water park fun (plus) also adds hopping; the price relects that.

Do the math. Crunch the numbers. Plan your schedule first to find out which works best. Be aware that a slight last minute change in your plans might cause a different kind or combination of ticket(s) (separate water park ticket or not) to be cheaper.

With TPT (current standard theme park tickets), MYW (magic your way) and pre-2005 PHP tickets, entering a water park does not at that moment mark off a theme park day's usage. With UK ultimate (7, 14, etc. day) tickets, entering a water park does mark off a day's usage.

Does NBA expierence counts as "plus"
No - from the Ticket Website:

Plus, you get a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits and a 5-day ticket allows 5 visits. For each visit, you can choose one of the following:

  • Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
This thrilling water park features one of the world's tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family.

  • Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
From fast waterslides to a children's area with pint-sized raft rides, this water park has attractions for everyone. Catch 6-foot waves or float on an inner tube down a lazy river.

  • ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Discover world-class venues where sports dreams can come true for athletes of all ages.

  • Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course
Enjoy a 2,913 yard, par 36, 9-hole walking course with fun for everyone, from developing golfers to experienced players. Greens fees only.

  • Disney's Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
Play one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at a fun course inspired by the Disney classic film Fantasia.

  • Disney's Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
Treat yourself to one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at either of 2 Santa Claus-themed courses.
