Park-hopper pass expiraitons QUESTION

So if you buy a 5-day park-Hopper pass, the days never expire until you use them? QUESTION: WE GO TO dISNEY WORLD EVERY 3 YEARS. i BUY MY 9-YEAR OLD SON A 5-DAY CHILD'S PARK-hOPPER PASS, AND WE USE IT 2 OF THE 5 DAYS THIS YEAR. wE'LL GO BACK WHEN HE'S 12 YRS OLD....CAN HE USE THE child (9 & under ) unexpired park -hopper pass then? Is it against the rules? ethics? Or will disney computers be able to check when we originally bought & legitamately began using it when he was 9 and say its still OK to use it under the circumstances?

Disney does not penalize children for growing up. You can take your leftover child's pass along with your now too old child (the child must be present to do this) to any Guest Relations window or major park ticket booth. They will update that child's pass to an adult one with exactly the same leftover admissions. There is no charge for this.

While officially this is what you are supposed to do, our experience in May with our now 20 & 23 yo DS's with their old childs' passes was a little different. We really didn't want to spend the time at guest relations, so we just went to the gate. At MGM, no problem, didn't look twice. Epcot, OK, suggested going to Guest relations to have pass that would work in FP, but didn't use FP, so CM said "OK". At MK, told to go to Guest relations (but didn't want to spend time, so just put old pass away, and used the new one we'd bought). I thought it looked kind of funny to see my 6'4" DS with his child's pass.
