Park Hopper - How Many Days/Options Left?

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before but...what is the easiest way to find out how much "value" (days + options) is remaining on a 7-day park hopper purchased roughly 2 years ago?

You can only check on it when you are at WDW. No way to do it over the phone or email before you go.

Guest Relations at the Downtown Disney Marketplace can scan them and tell you (if you don't feel like going to Guest Relations at one of the parks).

I have been told scanning at Disney is the only way. I have 7 here. 4 have one option left, 2 have 2 options left, and 3 have one park hopper day left. I just have no idea which has what combo of what. LOL Next time i will take a magic marker and make a note on them before I leave and forget, since we all held onto our own tickets and knew at the time where we had been.
