Park Hopper Cards

OK, I'm leaving for DL and DCA (for that matter USH also) tomorrow. I bought the 2 day park hopper at the Disney Store a couple of weeks ago and I've been to DL plenty of times before but never with these park hopper card thingies. How the heck do they work? From what the lady said at the Disney Store, you just show the card at the turnstile at the park entrance. Is that right? I just wanted to double check. Thanks
