who wears sneakers to the parks? who wears sandals? :sunny: i think sneakers are best because there is ALOT of walking involved. we always buy new sneakers before our trip & break them in beforehand, but we have just 15 days til we leave :flower: and i havent broken my sneakers in yet!! i have read about some kind of sandals that everyone seems to rave about. someone please fill me in!! :earboy2:

We are all breaking our new tennis shoes in too. Someone told me not to put jellie sandles on my kids. They had seen the jellies melt on their feet. OUCH!!

The shoe everybody is raving about are called Crocs. Do a search, you'll find more info than you need. I brought a pair on my recent trip and they were great. By the end of the day I was able to stand for an hour, waiting for Spectromagic, and my feet didn't bother me at all. I did develop a small blister on the top of my foot after wearing them all day the next day, but I think that was because mine were tight - I'm kind of in between sizes. I'd suggest bringing them in addition to a more traditional pair of sneakers or shoes because they are the ugliest thing you've ever seen and I didn't want to walk inot any restaurants wearing them.

Hi PrincessPenny!

There's a pretty long thread on footwear just a few posts down from yours. It's titled 'Need Walking Shoe Advice-make/model'. Lots of good suggestions. Hope it helps!

Id bring your old broken-in sneakers, even if they arent the most fashionable. In Disney, no one is going to care, But you will if you wear new ones and end up with sore feet :( I wore my old ones and bought some sandals and fancier sneakers for nightime. Have an awesome trip you will have a great time regardless of whats on your feet :)

My family (DH, DD & DS) wore Birkenstock sandals. Very comfortable and very airy. No feet problem at all! ::MinnieMo

I always wear tennis shoes. I need the extra support when I'm on my feet that long.

Teva sandals are what I've heard some people swear by for trips.

I have an interesting shoe choice. See, I bought the pair of bamboo sandals in Japan at Epcot, and ever sinse I bought them, i cant take them off! They are the most comfortable things--Believe me! I wear them to all the parks!!

*^_^*

what do the bamboo sandals look like?? are they flat or do they have a heel? are they backless? i would be afraid my shoes were going to fall off in sandals withouth a back!! :earsboy:

Well, They have rubber on the bottom, bamboo where you step, and just the part that goes between your toes (Its a velvet-like strap). Amazingly, they stay on well, and they are EXTREAMLY comfy! My mom just bought a pair as well, and cant take them off! She wears them everywhere like me!

Hope you can at least try on a pair when you go!
