Does anyone have a recommendation for a clean, good deal, that I can get for my parents? We're sending them on a 40th anniversary cruise and will have them flying out at 8:00 from EWR. We want to put them up overnight near the airport, hopefully where they can take a shuttle and leave their car for the length of their cruise (5-nights).

Thanks for any help you can offer! We want to make this trip as nice and convenient as possible for our parents and we want to make sure that they don't have to pay for anything but incidentals.

I stayed at Four Points (Sheraton) last year and the property was pretty bad. I think Country Inn and Suites is a better property with a decent deal.

FWIW--The hotel might not start serving breakfast, free or otherwise, before they have to leave for EWR.

The shuttle bus driver is suppose to drop them off at the airtrain (monorail) station. If they ask nicely and tip they might bend the rules and drop them off at the airline terminal. Much easier.

It's too bad about the Sheraton. DH and I stayed there maybe 12 years ago and it was lovely. Everything that I've seen online says otherwise about it now.

Thanks for your suggestion!

You may want to look at hotels off rte 78 east of NIA, or on rte 1&9. Even though your from Eastern PA the cost of the rooms and the parking may be close to the cost of a limo to drop them off/ pick them up.
That said the Marriott is on the airport and expensive. Marriott corp has 3 hotels on route 1&9 that are travel suites, I don't know how much they are.
The Days Inn, Ramada, Wyndam, and Hilton are on Rte 1&9 S/Bound and use busses. They are the closest and I think have parking. Avistar parking is pretty much right in the middle of all of them. Good Luck.
