I just planned a spontaneous trip for the 20-22 with my two 6 year old girls and my 70 year old mom. The only character res. I could get was dinner at Park Fare. So, an unfair question--will we have fun? I know we will all like the gingerbread houses in the GF, we make one every year ourselves. My mom is great--up for anything, she does get worn out, but dinner is at 5. My kids say they won't be scared unless the stepsisters are mean right to them, they know it is pretend.

Thanks for any advice, tips.

My daughters were 6 and 8 when we did the dinner at 1900 Park Fare a couple of years ago. The stepsisters are a riot! The stepmother acts very stern, telling the girls to "sit up straight" ,etc. She wasn't scary though and didn't intimidate my girls. They loved her! Of course, Cinderella and Prince Charming were sweet but the Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine stole the show.

From what I have heard it is one of the more entertaining character dining options, since here the characters will actually be able to converse with you. I have seen Dining Reports of groups of just adults and teens who have thoroughly enjoyed it, so it should work for all ages!

We love 1900 it's a great character meal, the stepsisters are a hoot and Lady Tremaine is amazing (she NEVER breaks character).

You are visiting in Dec right? The gingerbread house is only there during Christmas time.

we took a party of 5 ages 5-44 in december 08 and had an absolute blast. it was the best character experience we've ever had. cinderella and the prince are the typical smile, hug take a pic type but the step sisters made our night. my granddaughter then 5 was just starting to get sick so she was a little quiet, laying her head on the table a lot, not eating much. the woman playing druzella (spelling?) must have noticed and came over to our table. she had made a ring out of a sipping straw paper cover and started telling my granddaughter how she was getting the prince to propose to her. she spun the most hysterical story that she had my granddaughter, and the rest of the table for that matter, laughing soooo hard. she stayed in character and was fabulous! the other step sister (the one in pink) ooohed and ahhed over fashion with my granddaughter asking if the prince would like her pink dress or gd's better (she was wearing sleeping beauty costume). even the step mother was fun asking if gd was trying to upstage her daughters etc... it was hysterical. none of us really liked the food much (we're not big on buffets) but to this day i will tell anyone it was the best character meal we ever had.

Thanks all! I'm considering this a go! We are going in December, sorry I didn't say that, I should have.
