Is the park decorated for Halloween during the day when they will be having the HHN that night? Is October a bad time to visit with little kids that are VERY easily frightened? No WAY would we be taking them to HHN, but I'm wondering about the rest of the day.

There will likely be some unmovable props/signs/parade floats out during the day, but no characters or anything else associated with the event. There shouldn't be a problem unless they're afraid of a prop.

You can barely tell anything will happen that night. There are a few boxes covered in nets, some props up, but it's not like there is a monster out in the open. Most of the haunted houses are done in sound stages, so they're out of view.
Crowds are light during the day, and it's a great time to visit.

we were there last year during Halloween week, and never saw anything. We were even staying on-site and never saw anything scary!
