Park Discount for Share Owners

This may be way out in left field but my doctor said that Disney share holders are eliglbe for park discounts on tickets. Since I've never seen any significant discount of tickets, has anyone heard this or can confirm this. If true I'll go out and buy some shares right away.

If that's the case it's a better kept secret than DVC, because I'm a shareholder, and I've never heard of this. The only significant pass tickets I know of are the ones DVC members get on APs.

That was true — a long time ago.

They offer discount if you are interested in buying the annual pass or premier pass. The annual pass cost around $414.00 per adult and DVC member gets $100 off this pass. Along with the premier cost is $539 and DVC member gets $125 off.

Long long ago, in a galaxy far far away. This hasn't been true since shortly after my first marriage - and that's going on twenty years. I suspect major shareholders still get discounts, the ones that get invited to breakfast with the executives - which are mostly institutional.

The last discount that I was offered as a shareholder was a discount on a Disney Club membership — and, before that, a discount on the paid version of the Magic Kingdom Club. When the Disney Club ended, so did the discount on the discount card!

Buy Disney stock if you think it's a good investment — but don't buy it for discounts, because there aren't any.

there was a time when shareholders receive the MKC for free. so they got a good discount on AP. and they also got like 60 to 70% off rooms - those days are long, long, long gone....

I don't know about a good investment....we have owned a ton of shares for years and it has not made us any money. We just bought them and forgot about it. When we get our quartlies we just laugh and laugh .....it has yet to get near what we bouught it for it gets close sometimes...however it is a great tax write off!

We did not but it for any real investment, it's more of a sentimental value for us.

I've been a stockholder for 25 years.
I remember getting a special cel print for $125.00 And last year if you got a Disney Visa you got a mickey watch....but that is about it.

I don't know when you bought your stock,goof, but the stock has split several times, so for me a $5,000 investment is worth about $25,000...check the number of stock you own. I think the last split was about 10 years ago
