park closing - how long after official time?

Hello,

If the MK closes at 8:30, but wishes is at 8:30, what time does the park actually close? I know its later but I don't remember how long? Do the rides shut at 8:30?

I see it is the same at the other parks. The official close is the time of the night event (like illuminations and fantasmic).

Am interested because one day, we won't get to MK until about 4:00 so I am trying to figure out how long our day will be.

When they say the park closes at 8:30, it generally means the attractions and entry gates close at 8:30.

The shops stay open for one hour after posted closing time I believe.

Beware the vacuums! They will try and shove you out of the park!!

Actually, security does a sweep of the park and they sort of "herd" the crowds down and out Main Street.

We were able to catch a few rides on their "last ride of the day" abit after park closing times. We rode the carosel at 11:00 sharp when the park closed at 11. My DH & kids also boarded The Great Movie Ride at 10:05 when the park closed at 10:00.

I think the realistically look at the lines and close up when the line runs out. Most of the time at park closing everyone is heading towards the gates.

The stores did stay open as long as their were customers in there. That was a great help because the boys wanted t-shirts for their favorite rides.
