Last year I purchased the Magic Kingdoms Event Party Music, and it was great.

I would like to add another CD to my collection this year, what do you recommend?

I like the music for Wishes, is that on a cd? What about Illuminations?

I would love to read the recommendations as well before my trip, because I'd like to purchase some park music while I'm there. I'd love to know what people have, what they love and why!

I know Wishes is on a CD, because I have it. I believe Illuminations is as well, but I can't quite remember. I believe DH bought music from the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean rides.

I'm a big fan of "Four Parks, One World," which is available all over WDW.

Man I love this, and hate it at the same time LOL.... I love it b/c it gives me ideas for Cds to get... hate it b/c it makes me cry... just the thought of getting to see my kiddos reaction to Disney makes me cry, so yea, I'm nutz LOL :rotfl:

Are they only available in the parks? or Can I find them in stores or itunes? My kids would love to hear some of the sounds we are going to hear. And besides that another option to Alvin and the Chipmunks and Kidzbop while riding in the car. :drive:

The only cd that I know of that can be bought both at the parks and on itunes is Finding Nemo: The Musical. If you're interested in songs that are in the background at the parks, check out parktunes.com, which has links to where you can buy those songs online.

You can also order cds from Disney. Hopefully someone will chime in with the phone number/email address because I don't have that info offhand.

The cds I recommend are Wishes, Illuminations, and the 4 Parks 1 World. If you are a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean (attraction) or Haunted Mansion, those cds are good, too. You can pretty much find all of them at the large stores at each of the parks and World of Disney.

If you like Festival of the Lion King, I found (in late May) the soundtrack from that in the store at the Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House) and in Island Merchantile in Animal Kingdom.

If you want to listen online, then this site is fantastic:

There's a jukebox with park music and pre-shows added all the time. I was listening to it as I opened this thread in fact :goodvibes

Do these songs sound like the songs we're used to hearing in the parks? The reason I ask is I bought a WDW CD and the songs are interpretations of how thw artists want to sing it. I want a CD that sounds just like the songs playing on the rides, etc.

The one I have isn't "Four Parks, One World" (it's one from 2004 called "Where Magic Lives"), but the songs are just like you hear them on the ride. "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life for Me)" and "Grim Grinning Ghosts" include the opening voice-over and the Splash Mountain medley even includes the comments from the buzzards just before the big drop ("So, you're looking for a laughing place, eh? We'll show you a laughing place.") as well as the sound of the splash. Besides that one I also have Wishes, Holiday Wishes, Candlelight Processional, Fantasmic, SpectroMagic, Festival of the Lion King, and the version of IllumiNations from the millenium celebration.

Are there any new park CD's this year? I have all of the ones currently available.

Looking at the song list from the Laughing Place Store.

I think I will go with the Wishes CD. My question is does it have the part with the little girl singing Star Light, Star Bright? It doesn't list the first two songs on the website.

If I only had to pick one, that would be my choice.

I also really like the soundtracks to Wishes, Fantasmic, Illuminations, Spectro Magic, Festival of the Lion King, Nemo, and there was one a couple years ago, Magic In the Streets, I don't know if that's still around, but I really like that one.

I actually hope they put out a Celebrate CD with all the new stuff from this year.

We have it too and love it!

I also have Wishes. And while I love it, I will say that it is not a long CD. The Four Parks CD has a LOT of great music on it!

I bought the Wishes and Illuminations CD's on our trip in October. I got them at the large store in EPCOT. I think they were $ 10- 15 each.

The Wishes CD does have the little girl singing on it. Both CD's are the music for the shows. I think the Illuminations has a few more songs on it than are in the show.

The Wishes CD is only 19:18 minutes long and the Illuminations is 42:04 minutes long.

Last year I purchased a five CD boxed set with all these CDs at the front of Epcot. Illuminations still gets to me after a year..

A few years ago, I was able to snag the last copy of the Candlelight Processional with Phylicia Rashad performing.

My mom is a devout christian, so she loves the story and she loves her voice as well. It was a wonderful stock stuffer for Christmas that year.
