I was wondering what rides you were allowed to go on for your bridal shoot, I know I have seen people on the carosel and tea cups in MK, but was wondering what the restrictions are. My fiance's fav ride is toy story mania in HS, would we be allowed on that? (We want an MK/HS shoot) Thanks for any input you have!!

What a fab question, i would like to know this too! Im guessing the rides dont actually work when your getting your pics done, that you dont get to do the ride and just sit on it to get ur pics? I loved the pics of the couple that got married on the TOT years ago with mickey and minnie on the ride for the promotional shoot, that looked great!

I would say email Rosie. That is a great question! She would be able to tell you yes or no or maybe. She is really sweet!

When you reserve the shoot, you can put in a request to have your photo taken at certain locations and Disney Fine Art Photography will let you know if it's possible. Usually it depends on what they think is possible within your time frame (like, if you want shots on Main Street and the castle, you'll be too far from, says, Splash Mountain to get there within the time frame). In addition to the usual spots, I've seen them on the Peoplemover and by the giant tikis in Adventureland.

We did the castle shoot and the carousel and all of that good stuff, and had some spare time so we got to go over to Pirates and take pics over there as well. We didn't get on the ride, but went into the Captain's study and in the queue - it was fun and are some of our favorite pictures! But it was just by chance that we were able to do that.

If there is a specific ride you want to make sure you get pictures on, like Carrie said, make sure they know in advance so time can be scheduled accordingly. :thumbsup2

We requested some pictures by the Haunted Mansion when I booked the shoot and after the castle/carousel pics we drove over to the HM for pics.

we barely had enough time but we just made it.

I did my MK pics:

in front of castle
inside castle
Cinderella's fountain
Carousel
with Christmas decorations on Main Street
in front of the Train Station (where my fiance/husband proposed)

If you have a specific request, I would suggest requesting Amy. She is the BEST. I loved her work and she is caring, kind and receptive to ideas if you want a particular place as a backdrop. Tell her Mary Lou K. sent you :)

Like other people said, though, you really only have time for maybe 3 other places besides the castle, maybe less depending on their location so you really have to prioritize.

In the Magic Kingdom? Unfortunately, it's been closed to make way for the Fantasyland expansion... :sad1:

That stinks!

We got the MK shoot because i really wanted the castle. I just am not sure the other areas to get pictures in. The carousel really isn't us...

Do you have any of your pictures from pirates?

I would love to see these pics too! I think the teacup ones are cute in MK instead of the carousel. Other ideas (dont know if any of these can be done tho) are:

Standing on the raft looking onto tom sawyers island as a background - such a pretty place

In the swiss family treehouse - maybe not too far in as its quite long lol

At the libery sq river boat - again if you can get a nice backdrop

In the jungle cruise boat - maybe they can let you sit in one thats not moving hehe

I have another question about the bridal shoot, I figured I'd post it here. I read the packet that you get an album and keepsake prints, does that mean you get a print of every picture they take? We don't want to get the dvd if this is the case. Any thoughts on not getting the dvd?

Yes, the keepsake prints are 4x6s of every image. The cool thing about getting the DVD is that you can then print the images out at whatever size you want, in whatever format you want (like canvas), as many times as you want, for a lot less money than Disney charges for prints.

However, considering how much Disney charges for the DVD and how many prints, realistically, you're actually going to want, it will almost certainly work out to be cheaper to skip the DVD and just pay Disney's ridiculous prices for a few prints.
