i own several regular hipsters and use them in my regular day to day life and last time i went to WDW i used it as well.
i usually use a small backpack at the parks and was very happy not having to take the hipster off every time i got on a ride.

the thing is... its larger than i really need both in my daily life and at the parks.
if only it was a couple inches shorter id would be the perfect bag with the right amount of zipper pockets.

i've bought and returned the mini hipster, little hipster, and little flap hipster.
i found them to be too small and bulky when sitting on my hip because they were too full.

i saw the petite double zip hipster at the VB outlet last week and it seems like the perfect combo of what i'm looking for as far as size and i like that it has 2 zippers.

at the parks i like to bring...
-phone
-wallet
-glasses case (on the day i go to HS because i don't l ike wearing my glasses on RNRC)
-travel size brush
-flash light (use this in every day life now because i have night blindness and it helps me a lot)
-tiny perfume
-lip balm
-tiny bottle with OTC meds in it
-disney rain poncho

if anyone has used the petite double sip hipster in the parks can you tell me if you think it would be a good bag knowing what i generally bring to the parks?

I don't have that bag, but I wish they had this one in the Disney collection. I have a few Disney ones, all the regular hipster cross body, and while I love them.. the petite double zipper looks like the perfect size. I do bring quite a lot with me in the parks and I love how organized I can keep my things in the hipster bag. There are so many pockets for things, so I can easily access what I need quickly.

The poncho is going to be the thing that probably won't fit in my bag, and we are going in September when it rains. So I am going to have to bring a backpack and my Vera Bradley bag.

curious to know what all you bring and how many people you are bringing things for that you would need a backpack and a purse?

I will be holding things for just myself. But my poncho will definitely not fit in my Vera Bradley purse with everything else I have in it. I won't be filling up both for the parks, but I will bring both on the trip so I can wear my purse, and if rain is in the forecast, I will throw the whole purse in the backpack and put the poncho in the backpack as well. On days where rain is not in the forecast, I will only bring my purse to the park and hope for the best lol. I did this last trip once or twice and I hate transferring things from bag to bag, so on days where rain was likely, I just brought the backpack and threw my purse in it. I just would hate to shove my Disney poncho in the hipster, it would make it harder to get to things. I may not even need to bring my backpack since I am going with 5 other people and a baby, I could always just throw my poncho in my sisters bag.

What I keep in my hipster-
hand sanitizer
Sunglasses
Phone
change purse/card holder to hold my license and any cards
lip balm
candies - gotta have my strawberry cream savers and lots of them!
small case for headache meds
money holder for my cash
Evian water spray
dry wash cloth for when it is hot
Gum

omg strawberry cream savers are my favorite!
and the only place i can find them is rite aid and i haven't been all that successful at finding them there lately.

i gotta tell you though that that does not seem like all that much that you could not fit a poncho in there as well.
i fit a poncho in my hipster just fine with the things i bring.
i put it in the back zip pocket vs in the large middle zip pocket. (usually i keep my phone in the back zip pocket at home gbut for the trip i put it somewhere else because the poncho fits nicely in that pocket when folded nicely and put into a zip lock baggie)

Haha Rite Aid is the ONLY place that sells them around where I live!! I literally buy all of the bags when I see them because they are so hard to get lol too funny!

And I never thought about putting it in the zip pocket alone, if I fold it up nicely. I really don't want it to rip, so I want to try to keep it away from my other things. I will try that!

I've been considering buying this exact same bag for my next trip, but haven't found it in store. I may have to check my local outlet again.

i saw it at the outlet in a pattern i was not happy with.
i saw it online in paisley in paradise and i want that pattern so bad!
i will call my outlet in a couple months to see if they have it in that pattern yet otherwise i'll buy it full price online. that is how much i like that pattern lol.
i told my sister about this purse as well and i think she's going to buy one for our hawaii trip this summer and we may go to WDW in october so i'll test it out there as well.

I have a Little Hipster Crossbody and it's a perfect bag! I love the separate compartment for my cards and money, then I use the main compartment for phone, lip balm, and sunglasses. With that bag, you don't need a wallet.

I've learned to buy what's on sale at the VB outlet, and I end up loving them all. I think I have 5 or 6 different patterns, the only thing I have that matches is one bag and a wristlet. Everything else is unique and I like it that way. It's more interesting.

Anybody have one of the Vera mailbags? I have both a Disney Vera hipster (which is a tad too big) and a mini hipster (too small) and am searching for the "just right" haha! I was wondering on the mailbag version's size in comparison.

i thought the mailbag was bigger than the hipster but i could be wrong.
as i said i find the regular hipster to be too big and the mini hipster to be too small so i think the petite double zip hipster is a nice in between size.

i thought i'd like the little hipster but honestly i rather carry a wallet instead of having my money and cards in the front pocket of the little hipster.
when i need to get money or what not out i end up taking it off turning it around and having to hold the bag while i unzip the front and get the money.
idk i just find it easier to leave my bag on and grab my compact zip around wallet out and just hold that. idk if i'm making any sense at all lol.

Thanks, I didn't realize it was bigger. Hmmm. Not really what I'm looking for. And the mini is too small. Why don't they make the Disney Vera's in more styles?! I was looking online just now at the triple zip hipster cross body, and I think that might be a good comprise for me. And I think you're right the petite looks good too.

The Vera Bradley little hipster is my go-to personal bag. Based on the dimensions listed on the Vera website, it's slightly larger then the petite zip hipster. I like it because it has a built-in slot for my ID. I usually carry my phone (iPhone 6 w/Lifeproof box - so it's bulkier than most), small point & shoot camera (Nikon S3500), a Vera Bradley zip ID case for my money, credit card, DVC card and TIW card, lip balm, small bottle of asprin/ibuprofen, and bandaids. I also have a Miller Tote that holds wipes, ponchos, sunscreen, and any small packages we pick up along the way. It's actually bigger than I need on most days, but it also doubles as my carry-on for the flights there and back (then it's usually packed to the gills!) so it serves double-duty.

Since Vera is having a sale, I went ahead and got the Triple Zip Hipster. It's about the same size as the regular hipster but has way more pockets to put things so everything's not just gathered bulky in the bottom. That's one of my problems with the regular hipster is the way things are in the bag. I'm still wanting an in between size crossbody bigger than the mini hipster but smaller than the hipster, and also has a lot of pockets. If you get the petite double zip hipster let us know how you end up liking it!

I am using this bag in the parks right now. For me it's actually a little big for what I have in it - a small wallet, sunglasses, gum and my iPhone. I have some room to spare. It may be a little tight for all you want mainly because of the poncho.
I would buy it and bring it home to stuff it with all you want. If it's too small you can always return it or exhange for something bigger.

I love my Vera bags, and use them at home for trips to places like the zoo, etc. But I was wondering what do you do about the Rain in WDW? I've carried my mini hipster there before but it was in Oct and dry. I'm worried about using that one or a larger Vera in June because if I get soaked before I can get a poncho on, everything in my bag will be soaked.

since i use mine in my everyday life it has seen rain and no rain poncho.
the outside gets damp but the contents stay dry.
if you have a poncho on hand it really shouldn't get soaked before you can get the poncho on or under cover.

I found the petite double zip hipster in Katalina Showers 50% off at a local store yesterday and picked it up. My trip isn't until October but I plan to use it as much as possible the next few months to see what I think.
