I'm sure this has been answered but I can't find it. We're staying at Fort Wilderness. For our arrival day, we plan to rope drop Magic Kingdom. Does it make more sense to go park the car at Fort Wilderness(are we even allowed to do this if check-in isn't till the afternoon?) and then take the green flag boat to MK for rope drop, or to park at Magic Kingdom and take transportation to the park? Which will get us to the park earlier? Thank you!

You can park before actual check-in time. And the boats have been the fastest and easiest in my experience.

As the PP said you can park early. FW has a parking lot near the Outpost you can use. There is no other place to park at FW othen than your Cabin/Campsite. You would then need to take any of the internal buses down to the Settlement to get the boat to MK. Unless it has changed after you get off the boat you will then go through security before you exit the dock so that mean very few people in line. If you drive to MK I belive they are doing security at the TTC so you would be there with a lot of other people in probably a much longer line.

I would park at FW and take the bus to the boat. At the end of the day you hop on the boat back to the MK with a lot fewer people then the Ferryboat or monorail and if your room is ready you can take the internal bus to your stop. Then only one person has to get the car back at the Outpost and you can do that at your leisure.

Remember that you would have to park at the TTC and then take the ferry or monorail. Best bet is the boat directly from Fort Wilderness to MK.
