I'm considering a PVD-MCO trip late April. SWA has much better rates there compared to MHT or PWM. But I've never flown out of there before.

Any recommendation for park and fly hotels? Or any other airport tips?

Thanks Muchly:thumbsup2

We use the Sheraton frequently. In fact that's where our car is right now. You may be able to find better rates at some of the other hotels.

If you're going to be driving yourself there consider just parking at Preflight instead of the park & fly option. It's usually far cheaper then the hotel stay & fly deals. We use them every time we fly out of PVD. They are right across the street from the airport. Less then a 5 min. drive to the terminal & if they're not waiting at the curb when you return they come very quickly when you call. Book direct at their website & be sure to print the 20% off coupon.

Love PVD. It's a great airport to fly out of.

Good to know!! I've always wondered about that.

I love PreFlight parking. But, with the OP coming in from Nova Scotia, they may very well want to get a good nights sleep upon arrival, rather than driving, parking the car and flying right away.

The weekly fee for parking in garage C at PVD airport is only $60 for the week. It's $42 or $43 with coupon to park at PreFlight. Covered parking that you can walk to. Worth $13 dollars to me.

You're right GoofyforTink, we need a good nights sleep anyway.

Looks like there's lots of options for park and fly. Sounds like PVD is a nice airport, look forward to checking it out.

I haven't flown out of pvd the last few years, but I don't think the security line has changed ? I think all/most Airlines go thru one line....it can get very long...just plan accordingly! We did park and fly at a Radisson...but I can't tell from their website if they still offer it! The 60$ rate for parking at the airport in covered parking is great too! I would probably sleep at whatever hotel worked best for me and then park at the airport! Covered and no bus required work great for me!!! Enjoy your trip!!

We've flown out of PVD three times in the past 2 months. The poster above is correct, there is a single security checkpoint for all airlines. Our experience however has been that the lines weren't long when we were flying (6:00 am and 11:00 am) and it didn't take long at all. That doesn't necessarily mean it will be like that when the OP flies. I wouldn't expect any more, or less, problems with security at PVD than at other airports.

I flew out of PVD on Jan 22, 3:30pm flight. The line for security was about 3 mins!!! Loved it!!! So much better than Logan.
I have yet to spend a lot of time in the security lines at PVD. But there is no way of telling how long a line will be at any given time.
