I'm last in posting this here but we went to the first PB on 9/26.
Pros:
Pros:
- Food wasn't bad but seemed to be the same pastries you can buy elsewhere in the French pavilion.
- We got an unexpected goodie bag to take home that included samples of jam, and a small cookbook.
- Hot Cocoa seemed to taste just like the Nestle stuff the sell elsewhere. I'm not sure if I misinterpreted the photos on the WDW website or what, but I was expecting the handmade boiled cream/milk with the chocolate shavings whisked in. Not the same cheap powdered stuff they give away at MVMCP.
- Service was horrible. Our waitress literally could not get to our table because:
- Normally the downstairs French restaurant isn't a buffet. For this event, they took away the booth seats along the center row of the restaurant to create the buffet lines and replaced them with more tables crammed together with pretty much no room to walk between them. Even less room when people are sitting at the tables.
- At one point a manager came by to ask for feedback. I mentioned the service due to the table placement and he apologized and blamed WDW/EPCOT management. He said he was told to make room for a certain number of guests per sitting.
