DW has been asked to visit a site in Luxembourg in two weeks. Looks like I get to tag along. :woohoo: Early plan is to leave Pittsburgh on June 14th, arrive in Paris 15th, train to Lux on the 17th, and back to Paris on the 20th. Return to Pittsburgh on the 21st.

MS tells me I cannot book Disneyland Paris with points this close to arrival! That pretty much stinks but I still can visit DLParis while we're there. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I really can use some help with Paris info...where to stay outside of DLParis is of primary concern. We would need to be fairly close to the train station or airport or both? Don't want to break the bank and DW refuses to stay in anything she won't feel comfortable walking in her bare feet!

This is a basic call for all out HELP!!!!! I'm running blind here as I do not know of anyone with any Paris/Lux expertise or information. I know the world of DIS can help...

thanks in advance,
bob

We are a friendly bunch here so please join in on any other thread or if you have a number of questions then just start a new thread for each :goodvibes

If you have not had a look yet, DLP posting rules are here, DIS posting guidelines can be found here.

Looking at your schedule travelling by the RER from Paris and DLP while your in paris from 15th to 17th might be an option :)

thanks! I've got the train lined up for travel between Paris/Lux and back. My DVC guide is checking to see if there is an exception which would allow us to stay at DLP (where is the crossing my fingers smilie) and if not we do have a travel company we are talking to for Paris arrangements. With zero knowledge of Paris it's tough on such short notice. I don't need the Ritz but I don't want Motel 6 either!

don't worry about getting to disney from paris. the RER takes you right there.

disney was great, it was fun comparing their disney to 'ours'

Hey!

I went to Paris in January and stayed at Hotel Eduaord VII (http://www.edouard7hotel.com/)

It was a lovely hotel, and in a great location! An easy walk to the Louvre and right by the Opera House. I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. It's close to 2 Metro stops, and was very easy to get to considering I've never been to real paris before (just disney, lol).

My tripadvisor review is here:

great review...thanks for the tip. We're still trying to work out the details. I'll keep this in mind!

I was just there last week and found this reasonably priced hotel WITH EMH benefit: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1842885

You can't get any closer to the train station and it is only one stop to where they drop you off right at the gate to Disneyland. Amazingly easy.

The points DVC wanted were way too high for my taste to stay at Disneylany hotels. I think the one I stayed at was actually easier than staying at all but the actual "Disneyland Hotel" which is right on top of the entrance to the park. That hotel reminds me of a pink Grand Floridian, by the way.
