We are renting points for the last time this year to stay at * to see if that's the resort we want to buy at. :) YIPIEE!

We have our trip booked, rental details removed. My parents have said they might be able to make it. (We LOVE to travel with Grandpa & Grandma, so this is a good thing). Even if we could rent more points for a ** for them, * is sold out, now what would you do?

Should we try to rent more points and get them in somewhere at DVC or if they don't care where they stay should we wait to see if free dining opens up and book them in a hotel? What is the better deal, renting points or free dining? They would probably want to stay at a moderate hotel.

Any advice would be great! Thanks!

PS...we have thought about making it an "adults only vacation" and sticking my parents in the room with us, but we would have to do something pretty huge to make it up to the kids. It sounds fun, but I think I would miss them too much at Disney.

Also, we have AP's my parents will need tickets.
Help!! My head is hurting thinking about this...

I vote for the free dining! If you booked a studio you won't be doing a lot of cooking:crazy:
So you can go to all the cool restaurants together!:yay:

First
If you really think your going to buy DVC, and you don't mind giving up some of your Vacation Time, you might see about buying DVC while you are down there. They probably will Comp some of the costs of your stay (Although if you are renting points to stay at a DVC Resort, this might not work).

At first I read that you were staying at *.
Given that, I would have voted for getting your Folks a room at a convientent Disney Hotel.

But then I saw you said ** If that is the case, you might want to see if you can get them a ** for the whole time. They will be at a different resort when you are at *, but you will be together at * when you move.

Free Dining
The thought of Free Dining is great, but we all know that there is no such thing as a free lunch.
You need to pay Rack Rate for your room. That hight room rate, pays for the "free dining" in part.

What ever you choose, you'll have a great time.

I also think that once you stay at *, you'll be buying !!!

The * is way too small for four adults anyway. Get them a room at the Contemporary - try a wing room - it will be less expensive than a tower room.

If they know that they want to come, I would book them into something NOW, and not wait to see if free dining opens up. Since you like vacationing with them, I'd look at renting points and getting them into * so that you'll be nearby for the end of your trip.

I'd book them a garden wing room at CR and then get a studio at * for while you are there. The rooms at the CR are great--we've stayed there a night before moving into BLT and we love it.

Details such as dates, resorts, villa size, etc. have been edited out so as not to be construed as seeking a rental (which is not allowed here on the DIS). General questions are fine, though. Thanks all!

The Swan & Dolphin might be the choice. They have nice rooms and there just a walk from the Boarwalk, Beach Club so you dont miss the Disney experience. Have a great trip.

no DME from the S/D, you would need to get transportation from mears or other .
