Parents of teens... Do your kids like Country music or Classic Rock?

You should get their "High and Dry" album. It's their best, and Def Leppard is my favorite band from back then. I am a child of the 80's.

Had a 20 year crush on Jon Bon Jovi, and then Toby Keith came along...

I agree with you about High and Dry. Def Leppard is still my favorite band. DD(15) likes some rock, but she mostly listens to country. We just had a discussion about this a couple of days ago. I don't know what happened to her. How could she like country when her mom and dad are such big rock fans? My parents are big country music fans, so I guess it skipped a generation. :rotfl:

I'm a teen, and I listen to anything from classic rock-metal. but I detest most country.

I listen to mostly country, but I love most rock. Went through the whole rap scene and got over that really quick! Anything my mom and dad listen to I love because I grew up with it (classic rock)

thanks! :goodvibes
they're coming to Manchester! Hoping DS17 doesn't have to work that night!

They will be in Orlando for St. Patricks, but they are playing a venure where you have to be at least 21. DD is really bummed. She isn't old enough to get in.

I'm a teen. Having been raised on country, it's pretty much all I'll listen to. My friends all give me heck when they get in my car; all my radio stations are programmed either to country, or oldies. I just tell them to thank my parents

If I had a choice I'd listen to Classic Rock (yuck Country) though my Mom was BIG country music lover, playing lots of Country as we were growing up.

My 13yo son is a Gospel music fan, and has always been one. His cousin is a big rap artist but he has NO interest in it at all.

So far today I have heard Frank Sinatra and Freddy Mercury coming out of my daughters room.....I don't know if she likes older music or just dead guys.... :rotfl2:

One DD prefers Classic and one prefers Country and once in a while they find common ground.
