Our child has asthma and occasionally we have to use the nebulizer. Is there easy access to a nebulizer machine or would you recommend us packing our own? It would save much needed packing space, but would not want to risk not having access either. We are planning to sail out this Sat. Your immediate response is greatly appreciated.

If you haven't already, you may want to get a medical form from the cruise line and have your physician fill it out. It will just let the cruise line know in case there is any kind of emergency.

Thanks for such quick replies!
Based on past posts, I knew my fellow members would answer almost immediately after I clicked "submit". Now my DW is a disboard.com believer too.

Hi TxCruiser,
I will be really curious to hear how the cruise goes for you. My son has severe asthma and that is mine and my husbands one concern when we sail in March. We plan to bring our own nebulizer (it pretty much goes everywhere with us) The only problem we've ever had is at the airport a couple years ago, the security really questioned it and they wanted to take it apart! We already decided we're going to bring a note from our Dr. saying what the nebulizer is, since security will be even tighter this time after 9/11. The last couple times we've been to Florida in March the temp. change hasn't affected him and he's been fine. But as you know, you want to be prepared. Would you please report back after your cruise and let me know how things went? Thanks, have a wonderful time! Julie
