Grandparents can buy tickets for grandchildren who need the child ticket/pass. They can not purchase adult tickets, as each adult needs proof of residency.
My parents live in Florida and purchased a child's resident seasonal pass for my daughter with out any issues (I was standing there with my mom at the ticket counter). We live in TX and didn't have any issues.
Just curious.... if the next time you go with your daughter, and her grandmoter is not present, will her FL AP still work?
In this particular case, my parents still have their primary residence in NY, but snow bird in FL. Can I work this to my advantage at all?

Found this on the net. 2009 Homeland Security rules allow only one DL.Florida used to have snowbird driver's licenses for people who spent Winters in FL but weren't year round residents. You could use those for Disney ticket discounts. Don't know if that applies to you.
FL discontinued the FL In-State license effective 11/01/09
OK, so it could benefit on the children ticket purchases, if my parents are there at the time of the purchase. Does WDW have a dicounted 10 day, no expiration pass for Florida residents or no such thing?

Sounds like you may all have to buy non-FL resident tickets, even the Grandparents.
