When FL Resident tickets/passes are purchased, everyone must be present and all adults must show a proof of residency.

Grandparents can buy tickets for grandchildren who need the child ticket/pass. They can not purchase adult tickets, as each adult needs proof of residency.

My parents live in Florida and purchased a child's resident seasonal pass for my daughter with out any issues (I was standing there with my mom at the ticket counter). We live in TX and didn't have any issues.

Just curious.... if the next time you go with your daughter, and her grandmoter is not present, will her FL AP still work?

Florida used to have snowbird driver's licenses for people who spent Winters in FL but weren't year round residents. You could use those for Disney ticket discounts. Don't know if that applies to you.

yep.

The child just has to be present at purchase and the adult has to show proof of residency.

I had actually bought a two day pass for daughter ahead of time and then my mom upgraded it to the seasonal pass and paid the $41 difference.

In this particular case, my parents still have their primary residence in NY, but snow bird in FL. Can I work this to my advantage at all, with respects to buying tickets for my wife and myself or my children? Thanks

Per the WDW site -

Florida Resident Tickets:
Proof of a Florida residential address is required. For each ticket purchased for an adult, you may provide any of the following:
•Valid Florida driver's license
•Valid Florida state-issued ID card (must have a Florida address)
•Valid Florida-based military ID

If you do not have one of the IDs indicated above, then for each ticket purchased for an adult you must provide one of the following dated within the last 2 months and evidencing a Florida residential address (not a PO Box) together with a corresponding picture ID (passport, driver's license, state identification card):
•Monthly mortgage statement
•Florida vehicle registration or title
•Homeowner's insurance policy or bill
•Automobile insurance policy or bill
•Utility bill
•Mail from a financial institution, including checking, savings or investment account statement
•Mail from a federal, state, county or city government agency

The persons who will use the Florida Resident adult tickets must be present at the time of ticket pick up. A print of an electronic bill of the type described above is acceptable. Photocopies and fax copies of bills are not acceptable.

I know if you purchase online the credit card has to have a FL billing address and then when you get there you have to go to will call and show your ID.

Sounds like you may all have to buy non-FL resident tickets, even the Grandparents.

As mentioned, the grandparents could purchase the FL tickets for the grandchildren, as long as they are present with you at the ticket counter with their FL ID. But each adult needs valid proof of FL residency, as listed above.

OK, so it could benefit on the children ticket purchases, if my parents are there at the time of the purchase. Does WDW have a dicounted 10 day, no expiration pass for Florida residents or no such thing?

Found this on the net. 2009 Homeland Security rules allow only one DL.
FL discontinued the FL In-State license effective 11/01/09

All the FR tickets and passes are listed on the WDW website. Check out the weekday pass, it is about the same cost as a non resident 2 day pass. It has blackout dates, but if they are snowbirds (like my parents) it's perfect because they aren't there in the summer anyway.

There used to be a great thread from Chesire Figment at the top of this forum regarding all things tickets. You might want to check out it if you have any confusion.

No...The Grandparents own a condo in FL so they will have the proper identification to buy the FL passes for themselves...a STATE ID (any state will work...I use IL) along with one of the required items (condo owners will surely have a local bank account, a utility bill, a tax bill (that's government mail) and that is all they need for themselves. I do this year after year for myself as a FL condo owner.

And as the ticket sellers on the boards will say...they can also buy for children. I have not done that myself.
