Parenting lessons learned @ Disneyland...

OK so I have not read the link yet but.......

lesson 1:

If your tot is doing a potty dance please don't tell said tot to just wait until after X ..
I can't tell ya how many times I have heard parents tell that to their child be it at Disneyland or at the grocery store. :faint: so if you are ever in aisle 5 at the A and P and see a puddle on the floor and it ain't raining that day, beware... very aware and step around it man.

lesson 2:

If your kid is falling down like a drunkard, either tie his shoe laces or maybe it's way past his nap time. Matter of fact, it might be way past everyones nap time.

lesson 3:

If your youngin' is pinchin' food off of someones plate, then maybe, just maybe they don't like the glowing mac n cheese that is on their plate.

lesson 4:

Maybe it isn't the kid that needs a time out, but instead the parent.

lesson 5:

Never give a huge helium balloon to a very small child. The last time I saw that happen the kids parents did not heed my warnings and the next thing you know up, up and away he went. He was having a blast actually but not so much his parents or air traffic control.
Fortunately he ended up becoming lodged in between the branches of a huge Oak tree several miles away. He was just a few feet off of the ground. And by the time his parents arrived, they found Milo (That is the 3 year olds name) standing on the grass with his busted up balloon. When Milo was asked how he was he replied with a huge smile fine... but my balloon broke and I want to go on another ride, please.

OK so that is all I can think of at the moment... stay tuned....

I have put myself in timeout before. My son thought it was hilarious LOL...but the few minutes helped me tremendously!

Yes, time outs can be a good thing for all ages. :)

My little nephew will ask me if I need a moment after a mishap occurs like my falling down or something. It cracks me up, but hey it works.
