Now the cooler the room, the better I sleep.
I can not sleep at all when its warm in the room- I keep the A/C at 60 to sleep--any warmer I am miserable!

Usually they wear pj but if the they are hot may strip down to undies. What ever they are comfortable in. I could care less if they are naked outside if a house fire occurs, the fact that they are outside is the important part.

I don't think the issue people have with the naked kid/fire scenario is that their kids are standing outside naked, but that their kids would be too embarrassed to just get out of the house if they had no clothes on, and would take precious seconds to find and throw on clothes before leaving the house.
All of my kids loved/love being naked...and not just at night! The youngest isn't so young, and still strips down to his birthday suit as he's telling me about his day at school/ friend's/relatives etc. Of course he's fully clothed in public and has no problems at school, but the boy loves to be naked at home. Of all four, his "Naked Period" has lasted the longest.![]()
That's hilarious. Overall, I'm glad that all our naked children get clothed in public-I was at a pool party the other day, and a woman had her three year old son completely naked while swimming because they forgot his bathing suit! All I could think of was 'What if he has an accident?!'

What difference would it make? Not like a bathing suit would hold any of that in there!
I was thinking a swim diaper...thank goodness there were no problems xD
There's a difference between sliding between your sheets sans clothes and strutting around your domicile with your bits and pieces hangin' out in the wind.
Modesty in the bed? What the heck are ya' doin' in there? Videotaping?![]()
I can't figure out how a child is "immodest" if they're naked only when they're My older DD (12) is almost overly modest IMO-- she usually wears a bra, shirt, and pants or pjs to sleep and she doesn't take her clothes off until she's actually in the shower even if there's no one else in the bathroom.
I.

My son is not modest inside the house but I guarantee you that if he was naked and there was a fire in the house, he'd stop and look for clothes before he went outside buck naked. Because he would think he could be fast enough to just grab a pair of shorts and be on his way. And as the son of a fire chief, you'd think he would know better, fire safety has been drilled into his head, but I know that he wouldn't.
Panicking, being a kid so maybe not thinking about just wrapping a sheet around you, going to the dresser to grab clothes in a dark, perhaps smoke filled room could be the difference between life and death.
When fire professionals say every second counts, they mean EVERY second.
Now I don't think this is very likely so it's not something I've personally worried about, but I'm pretty sure that's the issue people are talking about, not that they care if the neighbors saw their kids naked.
This was basically what I was thinking.
I can't figure out how a child is "immodest" if they're naked only when they're completely alone? (i.e. taking off their pajamas after they've been tucked in and putting them back on before coming out of their room in the morning) What about when they're bathing?
My kids wear pjs, but we encourage them to sleep in just their underwear if it's super hot out (only a few nights a year here). Even then they usually wear something lightweight. My older DD (12) is almost overly modest IMO-- she usually wears a bra, shirt, and pants or pjs to sleep and she doesn't take her clothes off until she's actually in the shower even if there's no one else in the bathroom.
I have lots of pajamas and wear them in the evening and in the morning, but slip them off before going to sleep. Even when it's freezing in my room-- I actually get into bed under the covers and then take them off.I always keep my pajamas and/or a robe right next to the bed in case I need to get up. DH always folds his jeans and a shirt and sets them on his side of the bed for emergencies or taking the puppy outside.
My two girls sleep nude also thier 8 and 10 I'm fine with it as long as it just us in the house...I let them be nude in morning while watching t.v but after breakfast clothes on .People are strange. What's wrong with sleeping naked, especially if it's hot? My daughter sleeps naked or in her undies in the summer (she's 8) because there's no a/c in her room. She has a fan and a ceiling fan. In the winter, she's decked out in her warm princess nightgowns.
Weird thread to resurrect with that response...My two girls sleep nude also thier 8 and 10 I'm fine with it as long as it just us in the house...I let them be nude in morning while watching t.v but after breakfast clothes on .
