Parasailing

Watch it now, I'm the youngest of three girls I can't say as I blame you with the vacation fund thing though, I have been paying allowance and bribing for extra chores and rewarding good grades to my daughter for almost a year in Disney dollars, so we can put them on account on the ship, and she will have her own spending fund. By the time we go, she will have over $500.!!! (i'm sure I can help her pick out some Christmas presents for me and Dad!!! Have fun planning!

My DS 9yo really wants to go parasailing (he meets the weight minimum) but my DS 12yo isn't too sure re: how high up in the air. He went rock climbing & made it about 15 ft in the air & said he got scared - so my question is, if we book it through DCL & he backs out that morning, do we have to pay?

If I understand correctly, cancellations must be made by 7 days prior to sailing or your acct. will still be charged.
That's one reason I'm stalling on requesting the parasailing for myself.

I wanted my DS (who will be 10 when we go but is 8 now) to go with me but he saw that part at the beginning of Jurasic Park 3 and he is worried that we will go in the clouds and then come out and our boat drivers will be gone like they were in the movie!

We are doing a "girls only" trip -- no husbands, boyfriends, kids, etc for our May 14, 2006 cruise and I missed out on parasailing (actually on all of Castaway Cay!) during our family's cruise in February 2005 and would like to go parasailing our upcoming trip. Can two grown women - so long as we do not exceed the weight limit - tandem parasail? Or is this only for a child and grown-up?

Does anyone know where the parasailing is better, Key West or at Castaway Cay? We are thinking of doing the parasailing at Key West and the jet ski excursion at Castaway Cay on our 7 day Western in 2006. Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated.

Passengers must be 90-350 lbs. and may parasail tandem if both weigh less than 350 combined.

I recently read where the excursion crew put strangers together, maybe just to save time.
