Thinking about parasailing on CC but wondered if there is a weight limit? Also do you have to parasail tandem or do you go single?

I haven't quite made up my mind whether to give this a try.

We will be parasailing for the first time in a few days. My DH, DS 12, and DD 9 are so excited. I'm a little scared!
I am just now getting over my fear of coasters, but I don't want to regret not trying it. I may never get another chance.
I believe I read that you must be 100lbs to go up by yourself. My DH and DS will go up by themselves, but DD and I will go up together. That way we can scream like girls!
I'll let you know how it was when I get back (if I survive:crazy: )

I screamed all the way up and all the way down...it was wicked cool and yet wicked peaceful at the same time. Really fun, I'd never been before and my daughter thought I was going to chicken out, but I didn't, I just screamed!!!

you kind of get reeled out then reeled back in, you're not running down the beach or landing in the water unless they dip you... no one on our boat was dipped, but the teenagers on the other boat were.

I've parasailed in NJ with my godson and it was really fun. I only did it because he wanted to but once I got up there it was great. We went up tandam, I htink the weight limit was 375 or something like that...its funner to go up together! On a side note I will tell a short story LOL....we went to Lake George and Matt wanted to parasail, I looked at the price and said no way to expensive...got home and within months he had a brain tumor, that spring we went to Wildwood NJ and it cost more to parasail there than Lake George but this time I didn't care if it was 250.00, that kid was parasailing! We went up together and had a great time, I have pictures of the whole thing....that was the last vacation I got to take with him before he passed away...Don't put off something you want to do, you never know when it will be to late and then you will only have regrets!..I have no regrets with Matt, we were up in Bmimps, Helicopters, took time off school to go on trips..it was worth everything, I have awesome memories of him....ok end of story.

As Jeanny said, it is wicked cool, just make sure all clothing is securely attached!!! ::yes::

Ha Ha Ha Veranda man. Very funny!! Just imagine the scene I could cause, (well don't try to draw a mental image, you may just lose your lunch). Talk about moon over Miami!!! LOL

Just wondering if you have given parasailing a try??

I've parasailed twice at CC. Both times were tandem, but that was my choice. THe first time was with a friend since I couldn't convince DH to go with me...the whole height thing. The second time was with my 8 year old daughter, who obviously couldn't go by herself. Here's the deal...you can go tandem or single, but be prepared to have your decision usurped by the boat driver. THey reserve the right to have people go single or tandem, as necessary, for safety. The day I went with my daughter, the winds were very strong, and they had EVERYBODY on the boat go tandem with somebody. Minimum weight to go by youself is 90 pounds, I believe. My poor little daredevil girl may NEVER get to that weight. ;) At almost 10, she is just over 50 pounds, and has finally cleared height restriction to go on rockin roller coaster...the highlight of her last checkup! Anyway, I think the maximum weight under the parachute is about 350. Go, and have a blast! It is the most exhilerating feeling. I can't wait to go again!! We're actually going to be on CC for our 10th anniversary...what a way to spend your anniversary day!:love2:

My DD and I went parasailing on CC last August. I thought it was great, it was so peaceful and quiet floating above CC. We were even dunked on the way day!!! It was an awesome experience!!!
