I wasn't sure what forum to post this on, but here goes....

My DH mentioned a few days ago that he would love to go parasailing. I saw on the TourGuideMike AVP that they offer this at the Contemporary Resort. Has anyone done this? If so, what are your thoughts on it? I would love to surprise him at WDW!

Thank you!

My entire family did this five years ago and enjoyed it. My two DD were six and 11 at the time and they went up in tandem and had a great time. You do this off the back of the boat and so you will not get wet (except for some spray from the boat). The view from up there is simply wonderful.

Have fun.

We were at WDW last year with my MIL (who is blind) and another friend. If the combined weight is less than 300 lbs, you can go tandem.

So the two of them did . . . . . and loved it!!! Even though my MIL couldn't see a thing, she loved every minute of it and the sense of freedom it gave her.

If you book, be aware that high wind can cause your excursion to be cancelled. Even if it doesn't seem particularly windy to you, the wind at a higher altitude can be too much for the parachutes. We had to come back on a different day to try again.

My DS (20 yrs) did it this June and he loved it. He said the view was incredible. My DH was in a pontoon boat below taking pictures.

I believe that the combine weight is 350, not 300. This is an issue for us, so I double checked on that one. We are going to be doing this in January, and I'm so looking forward to it!!
