Parasailing at CC - what time of day is best?

I called this morning to prebook my excursions, and when I asked about parasailing they wanted to know what time I wanted to go. I had no idea I would need to decide that! LOL Any thoughts on this? I have read that the snorkeling on CC is best first thing, so maybe we should wait to parasail till the afternoon? And will it be warmer by the afternoon (we are on the March 20 cruise)? Also, what do we do with the kids while we are parasailing? We have a 6 yo and a 9 yo. Is there someplace on the beach that they can watch us? We are traveling with another family so we wouldn't be leaving them unattended.

As always, thanks for any advice!

personally, I liked doing this first thing, so the rest of the day I didn't have to watch the time. Also it is pretty close to the ship, so we didn't walk all the way over to get a spot on the beach until after we were done. This worked well for us.

I booked my son for 2pm. I thought this way, we could all enjoy the morning on the island without interruption for his excursion or worrying about rushing lunch. I also figured that this would give us a little more time on CC when he was done before we had to head back to the ship.

The Disney Kids program actually has a spot on Castaway Cay that the kids can go to (all day if you want). It is sandy, fenced, and they do check in and check out just like normal. If you are worried about the kids being on their own, then put them in their (they will have a great time) and you will have your beeper with you and they will beep you if there is any problem.

We have done this with our daughter many times since we go over to the adult beach and get our massages. It has worked great.

We booked ours at 12:30pm so by the time we were done we could get our lunch and avoid the huge crowd when they start serving....there was plenty of food by the time we got there shortly after 1:30 ..... Andy

Both times, we booked first timeslot in the morning. We did this so that we could enjoy the remainder of the day at a leisurely pace.

we booked ours at 11:30 a.m., this gave us plenty of time to get off of the ship (and say Hey to Nate), then go to Serenity Beach and drop our stuff off on a beach chair...we walked back to the tram and got back to the dock and had about 10 minutes to spare.. this was after we had stopped in Sally's on the way back too. It was around 80 degrees by that time and it was wicked cool up there.. I'm not talking temperature wicked cool, I'm talking awesome wicked cool!!!

After we returned, we stopped at the BBQ and took it back to our chair, which was undisturbed.

Have fun, it's wicked cool!!
