My DH & DD10 are parasailing -- will I be able to see them from the shore? I would love to videotape it and take pictures....

It's pretty far from shore. We were out past the ship. Maybe if you walk back to the end of the dock you might have a chance taping them. But you better have quite a telephoto lens. They will be really high up. Be sure to have them wear something really bright. To be honest, I'm not sure you will be able to tell who is up there from the island.

Will they be parasailing in tandem or separate? I'd have them take the camera themselves onto the boat for pictures. You don't need a water camera, but it's safer if you do have one. One father/daughter on our boat who parasailed in tandem took a video camera up with them. I took a water camera with me, as did my parents who went with me. If you have two cameras, they could ask another passenger to take pictures of them parasailing while they take pictures from the air.

It will be very difficult for you to see them from shore unless they are wearing something very bright so that you can notice it from far away.

I will have him ask someone to video & take pictures -- why didn't I think of that??? duh!!!

Be careful. They may insist that they ride tandem. DH and I together didn't go over the limit on weight, so they made us ride together. I wasn't complaining too much though. I was a bit scared. But you may be able to ask someone on the boat to take pictures. The crew will not do it. They are way too busy. So even if your DD does weighs over the 90 pounds that they require to ride single, they may ask her to ride with her DF. Of course, if they both weigh together over 375 pounds that won't happen.

My DH went back onto the Magic and watched us from Deck 10. He said he could see quite well from there, but he had us where something distinctive so he could tell which one of us was up.

That's a good idea. When we went they sailed us close to the front of the boat.
