Paradiso 37 or Portobello?

We are finalizing our plans and have an ADR at a place we've eaten before. We are considering changing to another restaurant. A couple of options we are considering are Paradiso 37 and Portobello Italian Trattoria.

We are 2 50+ adults (with young outlook on life) and an 18 yr old daughter.

Recommendations and reviews are appreciated.

Having done both, I suggest Portobello between those two choices. Paradiso isn't bad, and in fact, their table side-prepared guacamole is notable. However, the rest of the menu isn't a notch above what you can get at any decent Tex-Mex place. One could argue that Portobello isn't a huge step beyond a good Italian restaurant except I would argue that the atmosphere is nicer than Paradiso and certain items there are quite good. Service there has been better than at Paradiso, as well. If you want a quick afternoon snack, sharing the guacamole appetizer (at roughly $10) is a sure bet. For dinner, I'd much rather do Portobello, however. Solid wine list, too.
