Paradise to the Treasure-A Polynesian/Eastern Caribbean/Spring Adventure 2025...Updated 6/29

They also gave us a drink ticket but it wasn't good at Soggy Dollar. I ended up using it for a bottle of water on the way out.
Better than nothing… barely.
Ugh..don't remind me o_O I hate hearing my voice!
Don’t see why. I was happy to hear you. :)

If there were kids running through I didn't really notice them. It's kind of out of the way but it is close to the entrance for the water slide so I could see how some might turn the wrong way and end up in the 18+ area. For the most part it's pretty quiet. There's a nice bar in the back and a coffee shop (I went to neither because I'm not a big day drinker and I'm happy with free coffee, but it's nice to have the option). :-)
Sounds good to me. :)

MARCH 4, 2025

We had a hard time dragging ourselves away from this glorious sunset, even though they had already dragged our chairs away :rotfl2:
IMG_3813 (1).jpegIMG_3817 (1).jpeg

When the sun had finally set and the port was farther and farther away we left and had a nice wander around the empty deck...
IMG_3820.jpegIMG_3821.jpegIMG_3823.jpeg

Afterwards we found ourselves in the Jungle Cruise Lounge watching an 80's Cover Band. They were good and I had a Truly in a cute glass while we watched.
IMG_3826.jpegIMG_3833 (1).jpeg

We still had some time before the Pirate Party was starting so what else would we do...
IMG_3838.jpegIMG_3839.jpeg
Disney Movie Quotes Trivia! This was harder than you'd think it would be because some of the movies they were quoting from were pretty obscure!

Afterwards it was time to head up to the Pirate Party! That's next!

(A little behind the scenes...I don't know if my computer is acting up or the boards but it's not letting me change the text color this time. I actually had more written and went to change it and it deleted my whole post so this was my aggravated re-written version!)

ROCKING PIRATE PARTY

Allie and I found a spot in the back on the stairs to watch the Pirate Party.
It's a fun party but honestly I think I've seen it too many times that it's kind of losing its luster for me.
I don't know that I would make it a point to go to it on my next cruise.

This is the best part...

Jack Sparrow jumps out of the smoke stack which is kind of cool.

The fireworks are always fun though and are set to the POTC theme which I love...

It had been a long day for us and we headed back to the room after that to find this guy waiting for us...

Arrrgggghhhhhhh pirate:

Another Port Day is next!

So much drier than I imagined!! HUH!
We also grabbed a couple boxes of cereal to bring off the ship with us in case we wanted a snack for later. It kind of still burns my butt that DCL doesn't have Uncrustables anymore on the ships. They were the perfect thing to bring off for a snack because they were factory sealed. I've asked now on both the WISH and the TREASURE and they no long have them in room service.
Well, that really sucks. :(
The boat brought us somewhere to board a little bus which then drives along these crazy small, winding roads up in the mountains. The view from up there was amazing and I tried snapping some pics but the pics don't do it justice.
That water was just stunning 🤩

IMG_3560.jpeg
Ohhh, very pretty! The Caribbean water is so BLUE. :lovestruc
They are also famous for a drink called the Painkiller
Loooove me a Painkiller!
but if we go again I would book the full-day instead of the half.
I can see that; this seemed really quick!
We were up there so long that the crew started putting all the chairs away for Pirate Night
and we were forced to leave!
Bummer because we could have sat up there all night, it was so pretty!
Well, crap. It sure looked lovely!

I love all your pictures from the day! Pirates night looks like a fun time especially the fireworks. I’m with you I love the PotC score! The music is such a favorite of mine.
I wish Andi would cruise with me, I would love it! She is not really into cruising. My sisters are now bailing on me for our Treasure Christmas cruise. I am really sad 😢 I would love to do a Disney cruise someday.
I have to live vicariously through you since you are lucky to cruise often!

Island almost looks like a silhouette of a man lying in the water. (head to the left)
had a nice wander around the empty deck...
Where'd everybody go?!?!?
Cool glass...

Sneak it into your purse when no one's looking.

What? I didn't say anything? :confused3
We still had some time before the Pirate Party was starting so what else would we do...
But of course!

Can see that
Jack Sparrow jumps out of the smoke stack which is kind of cool.
Ok, that is kinda cool. :)

:goodvibes
Pretty cool for a towel animal. :thumbsup2

I wish Andi would cruise with me, I would love it! She is not really into cruising.
Has she been? Does she get seasick? I think the two of you would have an amazing time on a cruise!

Oh, no! That stinks!! Allie and I just booked Alaska on the Wonder for September 2026 or I would consider going with you! I love the Treasure!

I can see that! We have a "mountain" here in CT called Sleeping Giant that literally looks like a sleeping giant 🤣

That pic is from the internet. It's really pretty there and is right across from where Allie went to college so we would hike it sometimes.

Cool glass...

Sneak it into your purse when no one's looking.

:rotfl:
I could have purchased it I think but we have too many glasses and mugs as it is so I try to save my purchases for ones I really love!

We have one up here too. About an 8 hour drive from me in Thunder Bay, ON. (Also from the internet)

I went to college right there! QU class of 04! Man I feel old! Also probably the only person in the history of the school to NOT hike the sleeping giant lol
That's too funny! Cue the song...it's a small world after all! My daughter graduated QU 2024! Not too late to hike it...very pretty, especially in the fall, although I hear there have been more than a few bear sightings :scared1:

My daughter graduated QU 2024!
Oh too funny! Very different school 20 years later! We were still Braves my first couple years there. I think my senior year they were officially Bobcats. I couldn't even live on campus senior year. No housing!
I hear there have been more than a few bear sightings :scared1:
Haha not anything I don't already have on my street. They show up frequently on the ring cam! I joke I live in the woods, even though the next town over, and I mean literally down the street, is a decent sized city lol.

Another gorgeous morning view from our Verandah...

Our plan for the day...
IMG_3876.jpeg
After our short beach day yesterday I was kind of mad I didn't book a longer excursion,
however, that ended up being a blessing...

As usual, we headed to Marceline's for breakfast. I threw all caution to the wind at this point and had the waffles with strawberries from the kid's area 😋
IMG_3875.jpeg

Allie was clearly excited about her breakfast too...
tempImagePVTOt1.png

Afterwards we headed down to a lounge to meet our group and they walked us out to the bus that would take us to our excursion. There were a lot of people and I think they were having a hard time getting us all on the busses so Allie and I ended up not sitting together which wasn't a big deal.
tempImageGtMVpw.png
I think the ride there was about 30 minutes but it was scenic and pleasant and passed quickly.

This beach was a lot different from the one we had gone to in Tortola.
It was pretty rustic and didn't have any shops set up but it was gorgeous and there were bathrooms so we were happy. Once there the guides made a rum punch that was included in the price of our excursion. I don't know how it was though since we just drank water that was also provided.

Allie and I grabbed a couple chairs and just enjoyed our morning here.

SAINT THOMAS, USVI

Before long they started calling out for people to get ready so we headed over to the bathrooms which were just a little bit of a walk away.
We passed this sign on the way and it made me think of my DS who, when he was around 10, used to have such weather anxiety and one of his main concerns was Tsunamis 😬
IMG_3930.jpeg

We said good-bye to the beach...
IMG_3965.jpeg
and then we stood out under a covered shelter waiting for our bus
for what seemed like an awfully long time.
I think they called us too soon and we probably could have stayed on the beach
for another 30 minutes at least. That was kind of annoying but after we had changed and waited out there we didn't really want to go back, plus we didn't know it would take so long.

When it finally did arrive we got seats together...
IMG_3970.jpeg

They drove us up to a lookout and let us off
so we could take some gorgeous pics of our ship and the island...
IMG_3979.jpegIMG_3982.jpegIMG_3984.jpeg
Notice those clouds...

When we got back to where would get on our ship we wanted to look around the shops a little bit but the skies literally opened up and it poured...
IMG_3999.jpeg

We popped in a couple shops but then headed back on the ship to dry off.
The rain was so hard and so fast that the streets were flooding
and I had a hard time keeping my shoes on as we walked!

We headed straight to our room for dry clothes and then back to deck 11 for lunch,
Daisy's pizza and some potato and macaroni salads...
IMG_4003.jpegIMG_4004.jpeg

And of course, dessert...
IMG_4007.jpeg

Afterwards we relaxed in our room and then started getting ready for our dinner this night at PALO.
We were very excited for this and it didn't disappoint! That's next!

another gorgeous morning view from our Verandah...
Very pretty!
Heh... Not sure how secret it is... ;)
I threw all caution to the wind at this point and had the waffles with strawberries from the kid's area 😋
Good for you! Looks delish!
Allie was clearly excited about her breakfast too...
tempImagePVTOt1.png
Someone likes her bacon.
Allie and I ended up not sitting together which wasn't a big deal.
Why? Because you were late? Or because others wouldn't split up?
and there were bathrooms so we were happy.
Now we know your definition of a good beach. :lmao:
Before long they started calling out for people to get ready
Already? Your beach days sure are short!
Then again, with the rain, I suppose that was for the best (again).
We passed this sign on the way and it made me think of my DS who, when he was around 10, used to have such weather anxiety and one of his main concerns was Tsunamis 😬
Yikes. I'm guessing that would have upset him. :(
I think they called us too soon and we probably could have stayed on the beach
for another 30 minutes at least.
:sad2:

Beautiful view!

Uh, oh...

So thinking you listened to Allie. :)
The rain was so hard and so fast that the streets were flooding
and I had a hard time keeping my shoes on as we walked!
Sorry! That strikes me as funny!
lunch,
Daisy's pizza and some potato and macaroni salads...
yummmm
