Does anyone know how far and how to get to the Paradise Point Tramway? Thanks

Its right across the road from the pier, a 5 min walk. pirate:

Don't let the taxis take you there, the are everywhere hustling you for fares.

No question the view was great. We avoided all the tourist trap stuff at the top and just enjoyed the view.

Is the ride a round-trip? In other words can you ride to the top and then back down or do you have to purchase another ticket?

It is round trip. The view is awesome. My DD 4 & 2 enjoyed riding in the tram & being able to look all over.

Tourist trap? I don't think so. The birds were fun! :earsboy: The only thing the person who has the birds asks in return for the posed pictures is you buy something from the shop, which has a lot of nice themed picture frames that work perfectly with the pictures. Along with nice hand carved tropical bird icons and such too. They'll take the pictures with your camera. And it'll be multiples; they took a total of 6 with us to make sure we got at least 1 that would look good on display later. We have a larger version of this one in a frame from there on the table right now.

And I forgot to mention; you can get up there by taxi too if you are nevrous about the lift (you shouldn't be, is safer than the Disney skybuckets were).

As Mark said, the view is goregous.

My DW and I just got back from taking to Paradise Point Tramway, the rides up and down were very smooth. We also enjoyed the bird show this morning, it was quite cute!!! We were able to get some really beautiful shots of the three ships docked below. We are having a simply beautiful day here at St. Thomas with clear blue skies. We just got back on the ship and had a bite of lunch.

Does anyone remember the cost of the tram ride ? We are cruising in January and I'm looking for some not water activites just in case it's a little to cold to snorkel
