Hi,

We are heading to Disneyland in September - Yay! I have booked Marriott Suites, but I'm thinking of changing a couple of the days to Paradise Pier to take advantage of the Early morning entry. Is it worth it? And how to most people get from Paradise Pier to the parks? Is it walkable? Shuttles? I was looking at the map on the app but I don't see an easy walking path. Thanks!

Walk is easy...two ways...most direct is to cross the street and enter through the front entrance of the Grand Californian Hotel. From the GCH lobby you can enter through the entrance right into DCA or take the route to DTD to the esplanade main gates. I am not a morning person, but every report here say DO NOT use the DCA entrance from GCH at rope drop, MM or EE...use the main gates, you will get in the parks quicker. Route option two is to walk up towards the Disneyland Hotel and you pop into DTD. That is a longer route but more practical if you are making your way through DTD. There are no shuttles.

"Wroth it" is totally subjective to what you value in your stay.

Even one night at pp would get you 2 days of early entry. Time it so you get one at each park. Yes. I think it is totally worth it. Only hotel guests get ee to deal so you can basically knock off every ride before 10. That gives you the full day to really enjoy the park and entertainment. It seems like there is more roving entertainment at dca and definately better food. Plus, I happen to love the hotel rooms for my family. The pool is not super awesome like the dlh for sure but the ee privilege is worth the money. The walk is going to be closer than Marriott .

It's a very pleasant and walkable route from Paradise Pier. We really enjoy staying there and love the early entry to the parks each day. As a prev poster said, there is a good route through the GCH that lets out onto Downtown Disney (I totally just typed 'Downton Disney' at first).

We have stayed the paradise pier a couple of times now and it was a great experience! If you use the early morning.. Then yes totally worth it! We are not morning people lol so for us it would just be worth it to stay on property versus offsite! We did however use early morning once and we accomplished a lot but we pooped out way earlier than usual and could not make it to closing without practically falling asleep ..

The walk is a breeze! We would just cross the street at the crosswalk and head through the GCH. No biggie

What are the dates for your September trip?
If you begin your visit off site and have a Magic Morning for DL use it before you change hotels.

I like to try and have a Sunday and Monday in the parks when staying onsite. This give us EE both of those days to DCA.

We always take the route through the GCH. The walk is easy.

We really like the Paradise Pier and would definitely stay there if possible. But remember that not all attractions are open early (basically Fantasy land and Tomorrow land), most DCA attractions are open, but often seem to have problems in the morning, particularly if it was a grad night the day before.

Paradise Pier very chill and highly recommended. Best lobby cafe area to regroup at, with WiFi.
(For those decent beer drinkers, they do have Newcastle on tap there serving 6am to midnight.)

I knows those that enjoy fancy GCH, but for a visit to DL, Pier is very nice and a cool pool area.
Anyone can visit the lobby at GCH anytime too, WiFi is kinda bad there but nice to look at.

The key for walking is to NOT follow the signs inside. Those will take you back between the back of DTD and DLH. It's much better to go out the FRONT door of PPH, across the street, and through the front of the Grand.
