HOJO does look nice but no magic hours staying there right?
I agree with PP who recommended you request Building 1 or 2. For one thing, the beds are larger in those rooms than in the rooms in buildings 3-6.
I would highly recommend Bldg 2. If you request Bldg 1, make sure it is a "facing Disney" room, otherwise you could have freeway noise issues.
I too preferred building 2 for quietness and would still happily stay there. Hojo has modified their building 1 freeway side rooms in the last year though for noise reduction and the freeway noise is far less intrusive, not completely absent but much quieter than before. The only rooms they haven't been able to do this with were the 7th floor rooms due to the skylights. So I, personally, have found building 1 an acceptable location during the past year.
Whooo Hooo!. So I priced it out, called HOJO and got Premium Rooms, Bld 1, theme park view. 5 nights, 2 rooms including tax $1095 !!! Now I know I still need to add park tickets, but the major savings already has me very happy!![]()

Hi!
We're planning on our 1st ever trip to Disneyland for May 27-June 3 and we're definitely staying at HoJo's after reading all the positive reviews. I went ahead and booked a kids suite because I've read they book up pretty fast.
Can anyone tell me what floors in Bldg 1 the kids suites are located on?
Also are the "Retro Rates" ever offered for the time period we'll be there?
Thanks so much for your help!!!
Carla

There are two kid suites on each floor of building 1. Building 1 has seven floors. The suites are located on the building's freeway side, and there is one suite on each end of each floor.
Yes, it is possible that the retro rates can be offered for some or all of the nights you will be there. My parents got the rate for the first several days of June a few years ago. Since we can't go at that time of year (school for kids), I don't pay a lot of attention to those dates so don't remember if they were available this year or last. We did get retro rates for our nights when we stayed ten days ago (June 9). You just need to check the rates page frequently. Sometimes the rates are posted and stay available for weeks; other times they are snapped up quickly and disappear within days.

Try Mousesavers.com for a list of where to get discounted park tickets. You can also buy through AAA. Right now they are offering something called the Passport Plus, it's basically the same discount as listed on Disney's website only you dont have to buy it as a package. You can get MM & Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness with AAA Passport Plus.
Keep in mind, if you purchase a package through Disney and select the Hojo as your "good neighbor" hotel- you can also get ALL those perks that come with a disney package. The rate might be very similiar and worth doing in order to get the package benefits.![]()
